You say you're almost out of the campaign and you just want to maximise fun. Best way to do that is forget about winning the game and concentrate on taking out those enemy characters! Reach out and destroy their avatars on the battlefield! The only things they probably care about. Trust me if you can do that the moral victory will be yours! I played a huge army of Dwarfs recently (it was the same kind of deal, I had about 30% less points than him) and when I saw the battery of Grudge Throwers I just knew I wasn't going to win. However (I was playing High Elves btw) I duly led a glorious heavy cavalry charge towards his lines. Watched my Dragon Princes and Silver Helms get shot to bits by his gunline. The only person to make it to combat was a Noble I'd thrown in with the DP's at the last second. Reaches the unit of Longbeards and challenges a horribly tooled up Dwarf Lord. However, my chap had the Talisman of Loec! This combined with some admittedly jammy rolling and the burly Dwarf died in a single round of challenge. My hero died immeadiately afterward but he died laughing his head off. I was utterly massacred in terms of VP's but I felt like I'd won. Incidentally I don't think anyone has suggested a Vermin Lord. With his very high stats he's capable of going for more than one round against a Chaos Lord, his Doom Glaive does D3 wounds so he'd have a chance of killing him and he's a Level 4 spellcaster so Dreaded Thirteenth is also an option. Remember that nothing matters apart from fun! Sketch |

chaos lord + unit vs skaven: Pin with big unit that is stubborn for 2/3 turns. Lob poison wind globs into the combat till all the warriors are dead. Without there ranks they soon start to lose. or till they are down to about 15 models and then cast the 13th spell on his unit. |

actually it does sound like the right opportunity to try a vermin lord... he will prob take units of 20 or less warriors not fearing your outnumbering as much and so you will have a sizable advantage with such a large and might i say fast monster on the loose... he also has WS8 so lord will need 4s to hit him... |
