I am definately going to try that on my friends temple guard + slann, that giant frog is a pain in the filthy fury ass. Only problem is if they take that power which discards any rolls of 6 to cast )= No real easy way to deal with a slann. Doomrocket seems amazing though, especially against elves. |

Two words Skar'skin to get past the Slann's Becalming Cogitation ability...POWER SCROLL! The double sixes maybe discarded but the double 3's remain. I always run with a power scroll on my grey seer anyway, for those times when you absolutely positively must get that 13th off on a unit that say has Teclis hiding amongst 15 phoenix guard. Honestly though, I got lucky with that doom rocket on the Temple guard just because he flubbed every one of his 6 up saves, and so many of my rolls wounded. |

Wrong - a character's worth in victory points is always what you paid for him, regardless of one-use items, destroyed items, lost Wizard levels or whatever. |

With premeasuring allowed in 8th, one thing you can try and pull is to put your Seer 24" away from the front temple guard, so he's 24" away from the Temple Guard unit, but a little over 24" away from the Slann. Becalming has a range of 24" from the Slann, so you can't be Becalmed, but you're within 24" of the unit, so you can target them with spells. |

I use mine as soon as possible cause I never know what's gonna happen to my lock ( he has the rocket modeled onto him so my opponent can guess). Used it once against a fellow Skaven player , killed 19 Clanrats and panicked the rest of the unit off the table with this own DoomCon Lock, somewhat of a shoot out

Well I only played 1 battle with skaven, used it one time, it was a multiplayer 4000vs4000 per side. I hit 2 blocks of TG who were close to each other(he had a complete line of saurus and TG blocks as wide as the whole board, pretty intimidating), hit both units killed 10 TG and failed to wound the one slann that failed LOS! Pretty damn nice thingy |

My best was a rocket right into the middle of a 30 block of grave guard, the lord had one wound left on him and I killed him along with 15 other guard. Changed my game from a loss to a massacre. |

nothing like acting like a child. why do something, when someone else can do it for you? life is for fun, so enjoy it while you can.

I was doing so well with the Doomrocket that it actually got banned in my local gaming group. :/ I think my best shot with it was either killing like seven grail knights out of a ten-strong unit or ten Khornate Chaos Chosen out of a fifteen-strong unit with a Chaos Lord, doing a wound to the Lord in the process... but cases like those are pretty rare. |

Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage... THIRTEENTH SPELL CASTS: 13 KILLS: 72 Empire Swordsmen, 12 Greatswords, 1 Warrior Priest, 2 Captains of the Empire, 1 Whatever the Empire's lord-level mage is called, 36 Dwarf Hammerers, 2 Thanes, 1 Dwarf Lord on Shieldbearers, 1 Dwarf Lord, 19 Saurus Temple Guard, 14 Chaos Chosen, 12 Glade Guard Fellblade Kills: 3 Dwarven war machines, 1 Dwarf Runelord, 1 Dark Elf Hyrdra, 1 High Elf Sun Dragon, 1 High Elf Dragon Mage

I measured 14 inches, skitterleap, rolled 14, put that pizza pie smack in the middle of 25 saurus. He actually conceded be for I could roll to wound. Considering it won the game, it easily is my best doomrocket shot. |

My best was a lucky shot that blew right off the field and destroyed an IG Basalisk Tank belonging to a guy playing 40k on the next table. He never saw it coming. |

I took and used it for the first time tonight based off of this post. Killed 21 in my game vs orcs and goblins. 4 dice at 15". Definitely something to never leave home without.
