Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone here.

My name is Tony, I am 28 years old, married to my wonderful wife of 2 years. I am a gearhead at heart and run the sales/scheduling/billing side of an Automotive Performance Shop during the day. I am a big gamer at night though, I have been playing WoW since just after release, and don't plan on stopping any time soon. Also love XBox 360 FPS games and sports games. But that's enough about that here is the info everyone is interested in.

I played 40K back in 1993 when second edition was released. I played for quite a few years (probably around 1999-2000) until life after High School caught up with me with school/work/girlfriend I really never had time to play any more. I always thought about busting out my mini's and playing a game but never could find anyone to play with as friends/family no longer played. Recently I pulled out all my old stuff went through it and decided that with 3 very close GW stores I just couldn't come up with excuses to not play anymore. I am in the Chicago area by the way and have 1 store within 10 minutes from the house and another two 25 or so minutes away. One of those is the AWESOME Chicago Battle Bunker, it is a mini gamers dream come true! But anyways I picked up some paint and started to repaint all my Space Wolves as the last time they were done I was 11 and for lack of a better word SUCKED at painting, of course I am probably not that much better now, at least I don't feel like it after looking at stuff the 'eavy metal team has painted.... So where does Warhammer Fantasy come into all of this you might be asking yourself at this point in time? Well, I have been getting bored of the simple Space Marine look, and I have always been a fan of the 'Horde' style army. I have always wanted to play a Skaven Fantasy army so I figured with the IoB release I might as well jump on the boat and do it.

So to answer the main question I have been a Fantasy player for less than a week, I have yet to play a game as I refuse to field an army that isn't mostly painted. I am currently working on the IoB starter set models and will probably pick up a Plague Furnace next along with the Skaven Battalion set to continue to build the army. After I get the starter set models done I will be heading down to one of the GW stores to play some games and get used to playing.

I am very excited and will post some pictures as models get painted in the appropriate sub-forums.

Hope to learn a lot from everyone and at some point contribute to the discussions here!

Now that's the life! Cars by day, games by night! I must say, I'm jealous :P

But anyway, let me be the first to welcome you to the UnderEmpire! Certainly the best Skaven forum on the internet, and arguably the best site on the internet. Period.

Arguably, of course ;)

Good to see you've picked the master race. I painted my first skaven model when I was 12, shortly before joining this forum. I guess we can both agree that at that age, our fine motor skills (and patience) just aren't developed enough to produce works of art :P

Again, good to have you around!

I'll assume you mean married for 2 years, otherwise that's sounding a tad creepy

[size0]Nah, the way he says it still works - after all, before she married him she wasn't a wife (presumably). ~ Lughtigern

I also played WoW since about launch, only I quit around the time they released the Illidan patch. But now some of my new friends have talked me into playing again :P  . On which realm do you play?

But allow me to welcome you to the Under Empire!
