If he is going to put terrain where he wants to, do the same to him. Place two-three forests in a line between your armies so all his shooting is -2 to hit until you pass through it. Place huge towers or rocks infront of his artillery. I'm only joking, but if he's going to be a jerk you might want to give him a taste of his own medicine. Apart from that, there is a lot of good replies here. Get a warlord and a bsb. Get more slaves. Stormbanner and gutter runners with poisoned slings work great against shooty armies. |

well from my experience my mvp for the points is the Doomwheel! and if people have not played against them they leave them alone... and if they have played against them the first thing they say is oh crap you have two doom wheels... the hold flanks great, but in this case attacking a hil they wiil do one of two things, 1 get to the hill and blast every warmachine off the hill or just maul and single rank shooting troop(just don't throw it at any large block of infantry with out some ranks of your own) or 2 it will draw fire from your troop who will be there with large number and ranks to ruin the opposing armies day! warp lighting cannons can also turn that hill into charr... combine these with gutter runners and he will be 3-3 against you say what can I do agaist the skaven?! lol

Doomwheels are a horrible suggestions against a warmachine gunline. "Now watch as my cannon aims 6 inches in front of your doomwheel. Now watch as my cannon hits your Doomwheel and does D6 wounds. Now watch as your Doomwheel goes out of control and your tactic goes breasts up. Now watch me destroy that other doomwheel." Doomwheels are brought down FAST by warmachines - cannons in particular. |

With the storm banner the doomwheel isn't a horrible buy. It should take at least 3 turns to kill and by then your gutter runners should have taken out the cannons. It is a decent model for taking out a stank or pope mobile. |
