Painting Challenge - 30th October 2010

The last few haven't been the best guys, so lets try and make this a good'un! ^_^
Get everybody together on msn as they paint and lets have lots of pics posted up of peoples progress.

There are PRS points available, as below:

For entering a 24hr challenge there are great rewards available!
These depend on how long you last and what you achieve in your time.

For lasting 6hrs you gain a point.
For 12hrs you gain 3pts.
For lasting 18hrs you gain 5pts.
For lasting the full 24hrs you gain 6pts.

For each 10vvp's you complete you get 1 PRS point.
For example, painitng 5 man sized models (2vvp's each), or assembling 10 man sized models (1vvp each).

All of your work has to be verified by pictures however, to prevent cheating!
No pictures = no points. So preferably post all your pictures on the same background of a newspaper from the current day. That would be perfect.

So get those start times and photo's in and your 24 hours start from then! :)

Hello there. I plan to get started soon. I may get delayed a bit, because a family member moved up their plans for their Halloween party, to today, and we didn't know until an hour ago. But we may not be going due to hubby being a bit sick.

Anyways, I plan on doing as much as I can to 6 dissected skaven. Don't expect much from me, but hopefully I'll get something done :P. I'll post a picture of my bits in a bit :P.

I can't find the power cord to the good camera, so these web cam pics will have to do:

My undercoat which I did in the dark turned out to be rubbish, so I'm going to have to do some touch ups, and so far I have not been exactly efficient. Hopefully I get something done today :/.

Well I'm an hour 5 minutes of actual painting in. I've fixed all the areas I missed with my basecoat spray(tons), and done dry brush of fur on 3 of the legs. My neck is protesting so I'm taking a short break, and will be back at it. These aren't front row, so I'm trying to force myself to go faster, and cut corners a bit. I'm still going pretty slow, but I always will I think.

Still...when I adopt a child at the age of 70 they should love getting half a skaven army :P.

Also if anyone wants to message me on msn I'm at thoughtfulmoron@yahoo.com

I hope to see more people than just me and scarfester lol.

*continues talking to myself :P*

I'm up to 2 hours 20 minutes now. I've ate, and had to take another break for my neck. I've taken something for it, and hopefully it'll calm down now. I've done the fur on the legs, and on 4 bodies.

4 hours 10 minutes now... still alone...except for my hubby who has now joined me...yay! I was getting quite bored.

I have the fur painted on all the legs, arms, and bodies now, and have started work on 3 tails. I'm going to try painting them a bit different as I've never liked my tails.

Well I'm stopping at 6 hours 5 minutes, with a sore neck, and a desire to spend the rest of the night with my hubby. I got all the fur painted except for the heads, and worked on the feet on 5 of the legs.

Its not much to look at really, but I am quite happy with my progress. Its not my best painting by far, but I went quite a bit faster than I usually do. I also apologize for the quality of the pics, but until I find my charge cable it cannot be helped.

I'd like to do the next challenge as well...though hopefully we'll have more turn out next time than just me(so far)...Its been a rather lonely challenge.

Really sorry I didn't make it to the challenge thoughtful. :(

Unfortunately I took a few heavy knocks to the head playing rugby and i've had a blinding headache ever since. <_<
Annoying but it goes with the territory of the game I suppose!

At least you secured yourself 1 PRS point for doing 6 hrs of painting. ;)

Ugh. It happens. I hope you feel better. I almost didn't get much done myself, with my neck putting up the fight it was, but about 3 hours in it calmed down. I get pinched nerves in my neck so it can be a pain when it wants to be.

I'm just glad to have got some painting done. I kept finding distractions that kept me from painting(Borderlands has been the most recent one). Any reason to get a paintbrush back in my hand is a good one.
