Ok well I'm pretty new to the under-empire and new to warhammer this is my first skaven army list and wanted some feed back on how well it would work against more armys any holes things like that, Im going with a skryre army cause well I just love the skaven machines and the crazyness of them so here it is my army list

I was thinking of having the warlord and his orge with the rat ogres unit give them a really hard hit , the enginer with my jezzails to keep with the shooting and suprise anyone charging them with the doomrocket, the assasin hidden among my slaves for that suprise hit to anything that thinks they can just walk in and clear out the slaves and the cheiftan can join the stormzermin to bolster there iron march

So thats my plan and my army C&C are welcomed I really want to hear whay you warlords out there think, thanks

i'd try and fit a doomwheel in as it is skryre's most enjoyable invention imo and it can hit hard as well (flank charges) :D

I love your assassins name

To be honist I reall wanted to fit one in but I was having trouble finding the points for it the only way is if a dropped something else all together and I'm having a hard time trying to decide what.

And thank you I used the name genarator and just kept clicking and writing down names I liked till I had a good list then looked at my char and there jobs and found what I felt sounded the best

Thanks and heres hoping some other warlords out there can help me with my problem

Doomwheel Driver
The assassins first name is the german word for lightning, quite fitting.

Unfortunatly he is exactly the one guy I would kick out to get the doomwheel.

He is not skryre
He has crapstatic gear (give him a strengh potion if you want him to do his job)
He has no unit that would deliver him to his target with high speed (no GR no NR)

The engineers equipment is very fluffy, but the musket and the optics are ineffectiv if you just think of them pointswise.

Your BSB is running around almost naked because of the magic standard, dont expect him to ever use his twohander, he will be dead before its his turn to strike. For gods sake, give him at least a shield and a handweapon to get a better amor save and a ward save in close combat, he will need it very much.

make your bsb carry a non magic banner then put under empire banner on the stormvermin unit. That banner makes him a big target. Adds to core and takes away from character points.

i find optics very over priced I would put the death globe on a naked warlock rather than a mage as you need to get really close to use the death globe so its a bit of a sucide weapon but fun

One thing I've read about Jezzails is "either take a lot, or none at all" - I think it was in a previous Skaven book. Five Jezzails is going to net you 2-3 wounds on a good round of rolls. It might be worth it to scrap them and get a 2nd Warp Lightning Cannon. For ten less points, on a good round of rolls, you're bagging more than a dozen casualties (with a multiple-wound weapon, no less), and on a mediocre round you're still killing a few. Really at 20 points a model, Jezzails are super expensive, I think - so much so that they may not be worth fielding in comparison to other units (at least for now...)
8th Ed: 2-0-0
Last Game: 1500, Vampire Counts, Win - Tabled on Turn 5

Self-Detonations This Game: Warp Lightning Cannon (Turn 1), Ratling Gun (Turn 2), Vampire via miscast (Turn 4), Warlock Engineer via miscast (Turn 4), Poisoned Wind Mortar (Turn 4).

Note: Vampire's Miscast took 4 zombies, 1 skeleton, and 3 skavenslaves with him. Doomwheel did not die, but did wound itself on Turn 4.

you have a point I've heard that to, maybe if I drop them and take another 5 globadiers and used the other 50 points to get more slaves that would make my globiders 10 strong and give me 2 large slave units to help bogg down the enamy

I think your warlord has two magic armours (warpstone armour and shield of distraction), I'd swap the shield for the dawnstone (I really overuse this piece of advice :P ). Are you doing any fancy conversions for the rat-hounds or are they there for the sake of it since, to me, they don't seem worth it and are more Mouldery in fluff. You could try to squeeze in an extra packmaster on the rat ogres (FAQ says you can have two and two).

thanks for the idea I looked at it and it works I did a few changes and now he has it, so if I understand the rules now he has a 2+ Sv that hits opponent when I make the save in close combat thats to the warpforged armour and a re-roll from the dawnstone and the 2+ save from the armour giving him a 4+ plus 1 for a basic sheild +1 for the mount means a 2+ save, I hope I'm reading this right cause thats a nasty armour combo, and thanks again :D

Yes that should be right: Warpstone Armour + Dawnstone + Mundane Shield + Mount = 2+ re-rollable save that inflicts hits for every pass.
Muhahahaha Dev
