Lab rat hard at work
|
I am having a lot of trouble getting into the flanks of opposing rank and file units because of the free reforms after battle and non-fleeing slaves. It was my bread and butter during the 7th ed. Is anyone else having this issue? Do people still use this tactic now that we have unbreakable units? |

are your slaves breaking from combat often? If you are using them to hold a unit in place then they should be steadfast (are you running them horde?) and near the general & bsb for ld 10 rerollable. I haven't had any trouble with them this way, its those stupid scenarios with random deployment where i inevitably end up with my tarpits on the opposite side of the table from my general/bsb |

No, i've stuck with units of 20 naked slaves, hence no steadfast. Obviously i need to reconsider my slave unit size. 40... 5 across x 8 deep? |

Yeah ive been going 49 /w muso for most games. gives long lasting steadfast and in teh rare case when u fail stub 10 reroll you explode with lots of extra ranks! usually with a warlock engy up front with some skyre device of destruction |
