I have a question regarding Giant rat movement: since they war beasts, they have swiftstride (3d6 charge, flee and pursuit) but pack masters do not (2d6). But since they are mixed, then I presume the unit uses the slowest movement of its members (2d6). In which case Swiftstride is pointless, unless all packmasters die... Is that right? |

My reading of the rules is the same as yours. |

yes...but more specifically because swiftstride says it only works when all members of the unit have it...'units entirely made of ...' |

Pity they didn't FAQ it so that Packmasters, Master Moulders and Skweel get the Swiftstride rule. You'd figure that after a lifetime of chasing & herding rats of various sizes your average Packmaster would be able to keep up with the little bastards...

Exactly. I think an FAQ is in order. In the last couple of editions they gave them M6 to represent this, but Swiftstride on the rats has not been anticipated/rectified. Unless they thought it would make them too good (i.e. not expensive enough). |
