Tzeentch Glean magic from the Chaos Daemons lore. Is something to the effect of: 7 to cast. The Caster then immeidiately casts one spell the enemy wizard knows within line of sight. Excluding Summoning Spells. I played a pair of games today vs. Daemons and I had my opponent throwing Dread 13ths at me on 2 Dice all game. Is this right?! Please please tell me theres some mistake Im just missing.. I thought perhaps that since the 13th created models that meant it was a summoning spell but was promptly informed otherwise.

no unfortunately no mistake on that one - i had a lord of change cast vermintide through 6 of my units a while back - it did so much damage! and cost me the game. now you are aware of it you know to stop it but thats about as good as it gets. the only thing i dont know is if there is a range limitation on the glean magic but i dont think there is.... my fav game i saw where this was used against a chaos player who had spent all day gatewaying units off the table till he got to the daemon player who then gleaned and gatewayed off the warriors units! the warriors player started moaning about the spell being broken and when we said that we had been telling gateway was broken he said not gateway glean magic |

Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state. Recent studies show that people who have attempted to comprehend Daniel have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia. <img src="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/adoptables/23041.gif" alt="Broken Adoptable Image" /><br><a href="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/levelup/23041-dark-whisper.htm" title="Level up this Daemon!">Level up Adoptable!</a> | |

No range limitations on Glean Magic. Just need the caster of Glean Magic to be able to see the target. However, I think the argument could be made that the Dreaded 13th is 'a spell that summons new units'. If you roll high enough it definitely creates a new unit, arguably bringing forth a new unit in this way might be considered summoning it. At the very least, I don't think they are allowed to create clanrats (small mercy). |

It's not a summoning spell, it's a damage spell. The summoning is situational. Been there, done that, by the way. Luckily I had a magic heavy list (7th ed) and dispelled it with ease. I would not pick that spell facing daemons in 8th. |
