Weapon team armor save modifiers

So the book says in the profile for ratling guns S4, Armor Save -2.
For WFT it says S5, Armor save -2.

there is noting in the errata/FAQ so hopefully there is a consensus here on what this means.

Does it mean that for example the ratling gun is a S4 weapon with a total AS modifier of -2, or do you also count the -1 for the S4 that is shown in the profile? Is a WFT a total of -2 AS or a total of -4AS (-2 on the profile, -2 more for the S5)?

The example I usually drag up when this is asked (check for older topics ;) ) is the jezzail. It would have an armour save modifier of -7 if you modified for strength as well.

Ratling guns and Jezzails are gunpowder weapons so get the extra -1 on top of their str modifier. Same with warplock pistols and warp muskets. They are just called armor piercing now in 8th, so I guess the effects do not stack if you give someone in a unit with the razor standard a pistol.

Warpfire, warplightning etc, are not armor piercing (also not gunpowder based projectiles).
