So, I was thinking of equipping my BSB as follows: Shield [2] Glittering Scales (enemies -1 to hit) [25] Rival Hide Talisman (one use - enemy re-roll hits) [15] Shrieking Blade (cause fear) [10] He would deploy in a unit of Stormvermin. He has a 4+ AS and a 6+ parry/ward save. Opponents are -1 to hit and one burly opponent can be forced to re-roll his hits. Plus, if the enemy unit flubs their leadership save, opponents now need 6's to hit him (and the rest of the unit is benefited as well needing 5's to be hit). Thoughts? Jason |

You don't get a parry save with magic weapon. I usually go with worlds edge armor, shield, dawnstone. 3+ rerollable, 6+ ward, and the first unsavable wound is discounted. Sure he loses his armor, but he only has two wounds. Something that discounts his armor is probably going to kill him with d6 wounds anyway. |

fistly please dont post individual points costs for items - it will get the site in trouble withthe GW. secondly you would only have a 5+ save not a 4+ as glittering scales is light armour so you drop your heavy armour if you take it. what about enchanted sheild + dawn stone + his normal heavy armour giving him a 3+ re-rollable armour save and then the iron curse icon. leaving you a few points for a magic sword |

Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state. Recent studies show that people who have attempted to comprehend Daniel have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia. <img src="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/adoptables/23041.gif" alt="Broken Adoptable Image" /><br><a href="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/levelup/23041-dark-whisper.htm" title="Level up this Daemon!">Level up Adoptable!</a> | |

Personaly i run him with 4+ ward and charmed shield or ironcurse icon in 2nd rank of bell unit. It protects him from beeing killed in combat or sniped by death magic. |

Sorry for posting point costs. Thanks for everyone's feedback. I am pretty sure you can equip shields, great weapons, etc. I do not see anything that states the BSB must carry the standard or that it takes any hands. With skaven it would be pretty easy to have the model with a standard coming from his back. |

Yes, equipment have been more or less free for BSBs for the past three-four years.

I seriously doubt that, considering Army Builder is freely and openly available with the entire selection of FB and 40K army points costs + rules. |

I field mine with magic resitance 2 and a charmed shield. Since he often is in the same unit as my seer(who's got a 4+ward), making my seer less likely to take spell damage. Also giving my unit a 5+ ward vs magic. |

In the second rank? Aren't characters supposed to be in the front rank always? Unless I read your post wrong. |
