Are you able to cast the Dreaded Thirteenth Spell into combat, or are you prevented from doing so? I know you can't cast anything into combat with a damage value, but the 13th doesn't cause damage you just remove models. I dunno, it seems kinda nebulous to me. | |

You can't. Since Army Book spells have no type, they are bound by the default targeting/restriction plus whatever restrictions in that spells description. Basic Spell targeting restrictions are: - Front Arc - No Line of Sight - Within Range - Cannot target units in combat The 13th Spell only specifies these requirements/restrictions: - Affects only Infantry - 24" Range - Needs Line of Sight So you end up with this: - Front Arc - Needs Line of Sight - Within 24" - Can only target Infantry units - Cannot target units in combat If casting from the top of the Screaming Bell, you remove the Front Arc restriction as per Above the Masses rule. |
