Last night I was doing some play testing with the Wizarding Hat (100pts Common Item, char is lvl 2 wizard and stupid, gets two spells from a random lore) and I got lore of Shadow. One of the spells I got was Okkam's Mindrazor (Unit uses Ld as strength for one turn). My question is, do you take Strength in Numbers into account in this case? Also can models in a unit use a character's Ld? This will be sneaky indeed if this is of I can imagine a unit of clanrats with a warlord and three ranks. Lots of strength ten attacks. Oh or maybe even on a unit of plague monks.

I believe not. SiN, Inspiring Presence, and character in unit all mention applying to leadership tests. It isn't just a blank use this whenever the book mentions leadership in anyway. You just use the models leadership value in place of strength value.

*Sigh* Strength 5 is still brutal for clanrats though, just doesn't make them good bloodknight killers.

Cast it on plague monks 50 strong 10 wide plague banner reroll failed to hit reroll failed to wound. That would be nasty.

Considering how much better S5 is than S3 in several respects, still not a bad thing. It's like every Monk in the unit decided to dual-wield flails!

Slim. However, you have heard the expression 'when life gives you lemons make lemonade'? This is not that. Okkam's is not a lemon, it's an apple, and when life hands you an apple, you make pie! |

I'm pretty sure the brb faq addresses using the generals Ld and says that you can't so I would assumt SiN also doesn't work. Still, s5 is pretty nice on a lot of things...or give it to the hpa. How many s8 attacks?

I'm not quite mean enough to give it to a hell pit. Mutate: Well 1/48 chance per spell roll, get two spells from the lore some chances seem good enough. |

That's the main reason I was asking, chuck a unit of slaves at them and give them str 5 with SiN but I guess not.

You for sure can use the general's leadership, but I don't think SiN applies since it's not a test.
