I didn't have any problem at all putting mine together. One foot forewards, one foot back and they rank nicely.

No problems with the halberds either. Are you sure you're using the right arm combinations?

The only problem I have is sometimes my old centurion looking SV don't fit exactly next to the newer gothic looking SV.

The only problem i've had with them is getting the command to fit in properly. They work best in a certain order but i can never remember the order :/

yeah, i am pairin the arms right, its just getting the arms to glue to the halberd was a pain. just seems like a lot of stuff (big model, billowing cloaks, halberds, shields, tails, etc.) to fit on a 20mm base i guess

Ive just assembled 30 and no issues either.

All the arms have a spot they want to sit in, if you put them there, or with the halberd slightly higher then no issue at all in ranking them. Only a couple have been a slight bitch to rank.

When using a combo unit of the old and new minis, I found it was easier to form the newer models along the edges of the unit, and place the older models in the center.

The real pain has been Squeek and the command models side by side. However, they look fantastic together.

I found mine to be a huge pain in the neck to put together too. And they are all spiky with bits sticking off in various directions so they don't rank well at all. I also try and give them more dynamic poses and not duplicate the exact same gear/look but it isn't easy with those guys.

my problem exactly. ok now here's a question; how the eff does queek, with his outstretched arms, fit into the front rank? do ya'll just stick him hangin out on the side?

Ive not had any real issues either assembling or ranking my stormvermin.

Also, my Queek ranks like this, and ONLY like this. Sorry for the poor pic quality.

Going to test out my SV ranking tonight, so I was glad to see this thread with tips and tricks for assembly. I'm hoping they're as easy to put together as some of you guys have said, because I have quite a few to go through! ;)

I had major issues with ranking them up too. Took me a whole sunday and then two consecutive evenings to finish putting them all together and 3 conversions were required before I was happy with the fit. Now they all have numbers on their bases to tell me how to rank them up, which I've never done before (although giving spears to the old monkey rats created a certain kind of hell too).

My advice, if I were to do it all over again, is to limit the number of halberds leaning forward and get them all pointed as skyward as possible. Secondly, don't glue anything to the base until all the models are done so you can play around a bit with the positioning of the models. Had I done it this way I would have saved myself a few grey hairs! (Far too many of mine were based heading to the left to match my old stormvermin metal minis and this created some issues.)

This. If I could give one piece of advice for stormvermin, it would be to fully assemble them before basing them to make sure they rank as you go. The second piece would be to make as many halberds as upright as possible.
