No ratling suck now as they have to roll to hit and wound. Wft might be expensive but they can really toast alot with one doodoo.

Dont forget you can hide your weapons teams from direct los with your own units as this will make them harder to hit from the cover granted.

Hide them how? keep them between 2 units and/or move them to the back?

try running a unit of night runners or gutter runners in front of them even if they get to shoot you will get -1 to hit through the unit.

For example

C = clan rats unit
W = weapons team

CC.....CC
CC.W.CC
CC.W.CC
CC.....CC
CC.....CC

Anything not shooting from the directly in front will have to shoot through one of your units, thus it will claim cover.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but like for foes, your units dont block LOS, so you could have them behind?

The lurker in the shadows
I have had great success with WFTs and mine have become dreaded by my usual opponents. The trick is not to over expose your weapons teams to enemy fire and keep them within 3in of their parent unit till it is time to strike. Sure it is a one wound model and could misfire and kill itself but that is a 1 in 6 chance. As long as you are moderately careful with them in the first turn or two they will pay great dividends in your opponents models. The best trick to use with them is to pin an opponents unit with a large unit of slaves and just flame into combat from about 8-10 inches away.

Ratling guns on the other hand are mostly useless now as they will never make their points back having to roll to hit now.

Do you think, that every time a Plague Monk pees, he takes a S2 hit?
