Someone once told me Warhammer was like a bunch of heavy metal album covers fighting. I can almost see it, and the music sounds right for it. What are your thoughts? Ironically "For Whom the Bell Tolls" just started playing right before I clicked post. Mutate: I meant to post this in the Warhammer section, posted here by accident. Could a mod please move? Thank you in advance. |

Twisted, evil, treacherous, and diabolical rats wielding arcane technologies that are dangerous to foe and friend, that care not for their kin and are constantly plotting against each other. What more need I say about what makes Skaven cool? My Skaven Blog Updated November 29, 2009. 7:57 PM (-6 GMT) Have spare little rats from the old clanrats, current plague monks, corpse cart, or individual rats from the doom wheel? PM me. I want them. 30 more needed. | ||

Moved upon your request Honestly though, I dont really see it. Its an interesting thought, and there are indeed some resemblances though... I would like to see an army converted to be entirely based of heavy metal album covers though, that would be pure awesomeness! - Sammy |

Thanks Sammy! The only I could think of that was probably truly inspired was for VC: an army of puppets. Which probably could the cover art as an inspiration for the display board. Plus an army like that could probably use more than one armies rules. |

Short answer, yes. Long answer:![]() ![]() ![]() And in one case, Warhammer used for Metal album covers: ![]() ![]() ![]() I think it's mostly people paying attention to chaos, rather than other armies, but it's a mix of heavy metal covers, Frank Frazetta, and some plain messed up mythology. Really, though, 40k is more metal than fantasy. |

Fantasy themed battles has more to do with warhammer than metal music, so it's more a case of metal covers being warhammer style armies fighting rather than the other way around... That said, I bring you Hammerfall v. Warhammer:
