My local gaming crew has brought up the idea that you cannot use these two together. you either have to chose steadfast or SiN not both. If you guys have had this discussion already i apologize, but any thoughts guys?

We have. They're not making any sense. Nowhere does it say you can't have both, nor does it follow any real logic. The army book clearly states that you add the rank bonus to calculate what the leadership is. Plain and simple. So their leadership is flat out improved by their ranks. Army book trumps brb anyways. So even if "normally" you might not get bonuses, SiN is an exception to that rule. |

Twisted, evil, treacherous, and diabolical rats wielding arcane technologies that are dangerous to foe and friend, that care not for their kin and are constantly plotting against each other. What more need I say about what makes Skaven cool? My Skaven Blog Updated November 29, 2009. 7:57 PM (-6 GMT) Have spare little rats from the old clanrats, current plague monks, corpse cart, or individual rats from the doom wheel? PM me. I want them. 30 more needed.

the faq on games workshop states you calculate SiN after you calculate your stead fast. what this means if your ld 7 cuz of warlord and you have steadfast, add your SiN bonus after that, this means that if you loose combat your lowest leadership will be your steadfast leadership, but if you have lost by 1 point in c-r, than you just use do -01 to your full ld check for example, warlord within 12 of ur unit of 50 clanrats 10-5 (horde), you somehow lost combat by one, your leadership will be at 9, but if you loose combat by 6 or some other number, than you will only go no less than your steadfast leadership (7 cuz of warlord general. so they clarified that steadfast and SiN doesnt screw us over and yet make it so that we have a ld 10 stubborn army. so i find this very fair |

What you just posted says that SiN and steadfast work separately, you just use the highest leadership. If you read the entire Steadfast section, you'd see that by "unmodified" it means ignore the combat result. Otherwise all these spells and items that improve or penalize Leadership, just really aren't that handy. |
