I'm playing my first game with a Grey Seer on a Bell today for these very reasons. Bell + Furnace list ftw. I run my Plague Priest with no upgrades other than the Furnace itself, usually. 250 points is a lot, and I don't give the PP a ward because I don't mind him dying. I really only use him to get the Furnace on the table, and into my Monk unit. Today I'm giving him a Warp Scroll to try it out in the new edition, but that is a rare upgrade for him. |

Yea, you can now only take one arcane item per caster (unless I totally missed something). I would say that plague monks with a furnace are worth it, but otherwise are not. And you don't even need the priest to have magic, just give him a flail and he is good to go. And seers on foot are amazing. With Tlos, he can now just bunker in the back and still cast at most things. I actually like slaves as a bunker since they are cheap enough to get bucketloads, still get his ld and if some die from miscast I don't care. And it means I'm not wasting a ton of points on a unit that isn't getting into combat. |

As a point of clarity on the Plague Priest and Furnace, if you give the Priest a magic item that gives him Magic Resistance, is this cumulative with the MR2 from the Furnace (for his unit as well), or do you have to use the highest MR in the unit instead? If they are cumulative, it's not difficult to get our PF unit up to MR3 or more with the matching Ward Save to boot! Thanks in advance guys, haven't read the blurb on MR in our massive new rulebook yet!

I think it's still use the highest. *Reads book* *Re-reads book* - want to make sure this time Yes, you use the highest value the model the has. |

A fun new item Basically you use the scroll instead of dispelling and the wizard that cast the spell takes a wound for each die he used to cast on a 5+ for each

tbh i really dont think its worth the 50 points. If they throw 6 dice at the spell they will take on average 2 wounds... If they are reasonable with their magic and only throw 2-3 a turn its a waste. Also you CANNOT attempt to dispel the cast, meaning it will go off... Just not worth it imo. |

Just wondering how many points, im guessin 50 and that will come in so handy when your opponent will try and become a big T8 dragon and suddenly he get killed cause he chucked enough dice for u to scroll him and kill him. but will also be taken against skaven because of 13th spell. |

unfortunantly the spell goes off then you roll. So they throw 6 dice at it, they turn into a dragon that now has 6 wounds, then take 3 form the dice and are still alive. Really needs to be the other way around. |

And in the next turn you dispell it and he is dead because he lost more wounds than the wizard had.

Is that a remains in play spell? I thought that it was one of those that remained for the rest of the game but wasn't a specific 'remains in play' spell so couldn't be dispelled later. Also, I think its hilarious how off topic this thread has become |

It is remains in play. Can be dispelled by beating the base value in later turns which is either 16 or 20. He goes RAWR monster arg man no wounds left dead! |
