They're cheaper than normal pistols...

Really? How much does it normally cost for a pistol?

Hm... still, the longrange modifier applies now and magic attacks don't seem to outweigh the loss of range and the instability. Maybe I'll upgrade them to muskets instead.

Haven't gotten my copy of the book yet (ordered but waiting :( ).

Anyway, I noticed Giant Rats and Rat Ogres lost Strength in Numbers but Jezzails gained SiN in the FAQ. It sounded pretty significant but was wondering if anyone whose got the book shed some light on this. Should I care or not?

Not really, this was in the previous FAQ, basically GR and RO benefit from SiN as long as there are packmasters but don't have it on their own.
If Jezzail ranks work the way we think they do than at best a unit of ten will get a +1 Ld bonus and still be able to shoot with everything.

The new FAQ says nothing about how the "Scorch" result in the Screaming Bell table. How it works under the 8th ed rules?

It's a bound spell. When you roll it you have the option of casting it using dice from your pool.

What does everyone think about Plague Monks now that you can not get the bonus for frenzy and AHW? That was a change I did not see coming. Or at least I believe that is what I gathered from the rules. Both frenzy and AHW give the model the extra attack rule that can only be given once. Essentially doubling up on the added attack is not allowed.

Someone have a book handy and can clarify it for me?

Looks like you're right, pg 66 bottom of first paragraph: unless otherwise noted the effects of multiple special rules are not cumulative.

I can't find an exception note for frenzy and AHW. That seems...bad; although at least that affects Khorne warriors too I guess. (And the monks keep their attack after losing frenzy).

Um for empire it is 6 points for a captain, 9 for a general and 10 for an engineers but the engineers is a repeater pistol but it is limited to 8" like ours.

I am pritty sure that will be FAQed because AHW is not a special rule it is an item. So frenzie and AHW will stack.Unless you can show me some where that says additional hand weapons are listed as using a special rule?

You added the word not to the sentence. Unless otherwise noted the effects of multiple special rules ARE cumulative.

Would multiple Special Rules are cumulative count that the same special rule is cumulative?
