It says under Monstrous Beasts that when a model is riding a Monstrous Beast the rules can be found under the monstrous cav section. It dosnt say the unit type changes to monstrous cav. Therefor the argument could be made that you still get the LOS roll. :ph43r:

Except for the fact that rat ogres are monstrous infantry while the bonebreaker is a monstrous beast (p486).

Do you think, that every time a Plague Monk pees, he takes a S2 hit?

Yeah....there's no look out sir roll. Happens to lots of armies (eg, WoC Juggernauts). It's something you have to deal with. *shrugs*

Well one smart solution might be to set it up to use two base sizes, one using the same set up as a Dwarf on shieldbearers. This is how I initially envisioned it, as a complete mockery of the Dwarfs! Then have another base of the same size to fit behind it in case the 40x40 rule stands up.

That way either size works.

I'd submit the question for further clarification, as it sounds like they may be doing a better job with rolling FAQS for a 'living rules'. While I'm skeptical, I really hope that is true.
Twisted, evil, treacherous, and diabolical rats wielding arcane technologies that are dangerous to foe and friend, that care not for their kin and are constantly plotting against each other. What more need I say about what makes Skaven cool?

Have spare little rats from the old clanrats, current plague monks, corpse cart, or individual rats from the doom wheel? PM me. I want them. 30 more needed.

What I did...

I made my 4 stormvermin on 4 seperate 20mm bases and then built the warlords mount on top of them, glued the bases together... It looks like 4 guys on 4 bases holding up a 40mm stand for the warlord..

Im hoping no one notices and I can keep using my LOS.... hehehe
!!!!!WANTED!!!!!

6TH Ed Clanrats... you know, the good ol Monkey rats..
Painted or not, Assembled or not...

PM me and we can work somthing out.

So basically, you modeled your BB mount as a War-Litter. Well, since GW are such pansies about making a hard ruling about basing (this is something that Privateer laid down the law about a year or so ago in Warmachine/Hordes) I suppose it doesn't hurt anything, though honestly since it's a question of unit type I don't think this will help you. He may fit in the unit now, but he's still classified as a Monstrous Beast.
