Playing skaven to minimize randomness is like going to prom with your sister, you can do it if you really want, but in the end everyone will still laugh even if you do get lucky.

I always take at least one Warpfire Thrower. You can't always rely on your opponent to do massive damage to your troops. Sometimes, you just have to do a job yourself.

It's funny. I actually found that just the other day and thought the same thing. Not abominable enough for me though. Maybe with a little conversion work though, it'd be a good place to start.

Indeed. I bought this in order to try and come up with my own abomination like 2 months ago, yet its smaller than I thought it would be so I have no idea what to do with it.

I will say though, that it is NOT worth what I payed for it. Looking at the site it says $25, I must have been in an insane warpstone dream when i purchased this.

Maybe a ROBB, or Pestilens Rat Mount?

What size base is it on? it looks chariot sized, but since you say it's smaller than you thought, I'm not so sure anymore. Cavalry?

If I remember correctly it came on a Rat Ogre sized base. I will find out for certain and reply by tomorrow.

If the GW picture is anything to go by, it's on a Cavalry base.

It may be abit small, but it would look better than my other option, which is buying 2 RO Kits and using those parts to make 1.

Mutate:And the thing in the woods practically consumes the cav base, putting it on the chariot base should still look decent.

It does look a little small, but maybe some green stuff and added Skaven "stuff" can bulk him to abomination levels.

I personally made my abomination based off of the giant kit, takes a little green stuff to make it look ratty but the size is solid.

@slyrambo

Holy crap that is nice. Would like to have one in my army but not for $160.

I much prefer this

Closer to a Pestilence themed HPA, but at least it's definitely a rat.

I like that one, though it looks once again to be more akin to a Pox Rat mount than an HPA. Maybe with some heavy bit conversion. Come to think of it, isn't that the one that was shown as a sample HPA on the GW website?

since we're posting pictures, i think this should be used - i know it's not much like a rat... okay, okay. i know it's Nothing like a rat, but i just think it's such an amazing model i couldn't resist posting it... besides with some conversions it might look a bit like a rat ... maybe.

ooooh...

That would be AMAZING!
If someone can make an A-bomb from it,
then it would be lovely!
And with a tutorial with it I will make one myself too!

That thing is perfect for many things (though some conversions are required)

abomination, pox rat or a rat ogre bone breaker.

*tempted to buy it*

no, no, no, you still have more than enough clan rats and characters to paint, finish them first!

*gets idea*

OR... you could use it as unit filler for the unit that will be pushing the bell/furnace :o

*gets reeeaaaally tempted now even though he doesn't even have a furnace/bell*
