Hey all, Let me start by saying I've been playing Warhammer for a little over 10 years now - High Elves, Dogs of War, Empire, Bretonnians, and Vampire Counts in that order. I'm not saying this to brag, just saying this so you know I've been around the block when I get feedback. Here's the idea I want for my army: I want to do an "empire of the future" army, where they've become a putrid, shallow form of their previous existence, and the best list that comes to mind for doing that is Skaven. I have this dystopian look in mind, like a cross between the 40k death corps of krieg and poison wind globaladiers. I have some army comp ideas in mind, but because I also want this army to be successful competitively I wanted to talk to your skaven wiz kids to see what your thoughts are: -Plague themed army, with double furnace, censer bearers, globadiers, etc. screened by cheap slave or clanrat units to avoid the frenzy push. I was wanting to consider plagueclaw catapults and all that as well, but then I wondered if focusing exclusively on magic and close combat and go with the storm banner and try and shut down opposing shooting while I advance. -Artillery/tech heavy. Still fits the degraded empire of the future theme, but I'm not as sure about army composition. Anyway, your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
