3k horde; i think i got it all covered

got my final horde list for this weekend. i think i have all the bases covered. what do you think.

queek (highest leadership decent in combat)
warlord- felblade, warlitter, shield
engineer- lvl 1, 2 DS
engineer- lvl1, 2 DS
engineer- lvl 1, 2 DS
20 slaves
20 slaves
20 slaves
20 slaves
25 clanrats- FC, shield, warp fire thrower
25 clanrats- FC, shield, warp fire thrower
25 clanrats- FC, shield
24 clanrats- FC, shield (was over a few points)
25 storm vermin- FC, shield, warbanner
25 giantrats, 4 pack masters, skweel
7 cencers
10 globadiers
3 rat ogres, master moulder GW, master bred rat ogre (3 ROs total)
5 jezzails
5 jezzails
warp lightning cannon
plague wind catapult
doom wheel

rat count-285(ish depends how you count the DW and such)
power dice- 5 (luck warp lightning if it gets off)
dispel dice- 5, 6 dispel scrolls
drops- 20

looks like a viable horde to me. if you can find any problems with it let me know.

looks fun and efficient, the only thing i can see is maybe fast loss of ranks 25 clanrats maybe somehow loose 1 of the units to fill em up a bit more imo ofc. but i actually like ur lord choice hope u hit some Dwarf-things this weekend gl hf ;)

ty for commenting. its hard to get comments in lists over 2k-2500 <_< . good point about the clan rats. thats why queek is in there. with leadership 8 they will still be realitively same from panic/terror. the DW, jezzails, and globadiers are there for big things. and i think with the rest, numbers will prevail. imo, i love the horde lists. i also have a monster list with all big nasties but i think it wont do will enough over 3k. i dont see what the big deal is from 6th edition to 7th anymore. yes, things were changed. some for the bad and some for the good. and after a few games with 7th ed. you can will play almost the same game you did in 6th. hopefully i will do as good this weekend as i used to (first games back at 3k).

ye not many is so interrested in 2250+ games in fantasy <_< but damn skaven hordes looks so bad in those numbers Dev gl hf and give those damn HE some skaven love if u should meet em ;)

I think, apart from the fact that, as you say, 3k games are rarer these days, there is nothing particularly wrong with your list - it looks like a fairly solid horde list, which should do what it is designed to do :) - and that may be why no-one is commenting immediately. So:

List looks fine to me. Personally, I would probably free up some points to take Stormbanner instead of Warbanner; the stormbanner becomes more and more useful the more enemy fire you are likely to face, and the higher the points value . . . well you get the idea. But you have enough models to soak some shooting, I don't think Stormbanner is absolutely necessary for horde armies.

looks ok. only thing is you may find yourself lacking some cc punch. i'd drop the globadiers for some more censers.

games are done and i did pretty good. got 3 games in and the things i have learned.

1. WoC players are stupid lol. lost the game because he had 2 bunker units that where like 1000 points each. i have like 8 units left and he had 2...and i still lost. oh well, i think he cheated. the horned rat told me so :D .

2. rat ogres are useless. cencers are better for cheaper. this was the day where i decided if they made the cut and they didnt. even in the flanks...still like cencers better.

3. jezzails almost didnt make the cut. but survived at the last moment. 4 blood knights with regen banner failed all there saves every time. jezzails and globadiers stand and shoot killed them all. still lost cuz its vampires :) .

3. doom wheel is great even if it gets shot to death for no other reason than people pay so much attention to it my other stuff can do what it wants.

4. scrolls are awesome. even thinking about dropping something to get one more hero for more scrolls. when your opponent figures out you have 6 scrolls the just get sad when its the magic phase. and 8 would be awesome.

5. still lacked a little bit of combat punch but never the less the games where soooo much more fun than bell unit furnace unit smash. it felt like the good old days of skaven. terror off the table and laugh because you still have 19 more units.

things i might change/try.

1. trying out more magic with a horde still. the 13th is the most devastating spell ever. eating chosen with heroes is the most satisfying feeling. so with 16 levels of magic, is it still possible to maintain a horde feel?

2. dropping the scroll caddies for fighting heroes. not that they do too much for us but might need a little more for the punch. i think assassins bring more punch than chieftains with the ASF, higher WS, and ward save. they are far more expensive but you are paying the points for the "gear" they come with.

3. busting the abomination back out. i have a hard time justifying the point cost, but most the times i have taken it, it has performed well.

if anyone can think of anything that might be fun to do or try let me know.
