I'd drop one of the Priest's Power Stones in favor of a Scrying Stone. He's your army general and riding a furnace leaves him plenty exposed. You might as well give him some protection. Also, no Condenser? The improvement it makes on a Warplightning spell is pretty sweet

I agree with both sentiments - 3 power stones is a lot to take, and your general could certainly use either the scrying stone or the rival hide talisman. The condensor, on the whole, is better than a power stone, on a warlock engineer at least; on average it should give you 2 extra dice a game, and it boosts warp lightning too. A power stone is nice to have with a seer when you're trying to cast the 13th, but otherwise I usually manage without them. Also, I don't see the point in upgrading slaves really (shields), or in taking more than 20 (ok, 21 if you want the extra model before tests). I know we're only talking change here, but enough to buy your general some protection if you're determined to stick with the stones on him. Note that you could split your jezzails into two units . . . you may or may not want to, depending on the expected battlefield, but it's an option since you only have 2 special choices at the moment. |

Thanks for the advice here. First: yes, I forgot to explicitly ask for equipment on the heroes. You beat me to it and save me the trouble of posting the question. Is the Doomrocket ok, btw? Second: slaves upgrade was more about filling up the points, I had too few to buy a 3rd block, but not enough to buy anything else I knew was necessary. Third: I have 3 specials, or I think I do, since I haven't read anything about the plague monks pushing the furnace becoming core. If that WOULD be the case, I'm most likely splitting the jezzails. Fourth: any other comments/suggestions? Do you think it'll hold its own? |

Totaly agree on both condenser for the warlock and scrying stone for the plague priest. I'd also probably go rival hide talisman as well. Drop the power stones for this. If you are looking to make up points a champion for the plague censer bearers is probably more useful than shields for the slaves. Ratarsed |

Ah, sorry, I see you do have 3 special choices - you listed the monks with the furnace, I missed it on a skim-over. And yes, with the equipment adjustments, it looks like a perfectly viable list. |

Allright, thank you for you advice, all of you. I just finished the changes and it now turns out to 1850 exactly. I've mutated the OP, so you've got an idea of how it looks like now. 2 questions, though How does the stupidity from the scrying stone interact with frenzy? How much rank bonus will be added tot my Ld? The actual number of ranks or the rank bonus till +3? |

If you fail the Stupidity test, you'll do the normal amble forward reaction. So unless you amble into an enemy you won't be charging.
Normal rank bonus up to +3. And you lose it if you're charged in the flank. |
