Plague priest furnace SMT plague censer 296 plague priest furnace censer 266 chieftain bsb storm banner 120 30 clanrats full command shields doomflayer 210 same as above 210 30 clanrats, full command, shields, no doom flayer, 155 20 slaves 40 30 plague monks full command, plague banner 265 30 plague monks, full command, banner of the under empire 260 8 plague censers 128 doom wheelx2=300 2250 even. My main opponent will probably be dark elves. I do want to try the furnace just cuz. I don't know why, but I like to run most things in multiples of 2, so they have to decide what targets to pick. I will stick my chieftain with bsb in the one unit of clan rats with no doomflayer in the center, with furnaces on each side, censers around there, and my other clan rat units on the side and slaves to hold up for a turn or so. I wouldn't mind using a lot of giant rats, just they are expensive unless I don't put them on my doomwheels. Does my list look fairly competitive? Cheesy? no pun intended. |

2 furnaces and 2 doomwheels will get you some funny looks You can get away with 2 furnaces in a pestilens themed list, and maybe 2 doomwheels in a skryre list, but both together looks a bit . . . stilton As for the list itself, you have a magic banner on both monk units, which isn't legal - only one of them can have a magic standard. I also wouldn't (although you can) take censers on furnaces - you end up causing more tests on your own unit than opponents. I would take another unit or two of slaves. Lastly, there's not much point to a champion in a unit without a character, so although your monks will benefit, and your BSB might (though a lot of the time you're better off if your opponent challenges simply refusing and moving him to the back - a smart opponent will just hit a BSB with basing attacks, no challenge. So occassionally a champion is useful to challenge with, to stop him doing this with a character. But only when - well, you get the picture). |

Oops. Drop one of the banners on the plague monk unit, the champs, and that gives me enough to add a shield to my chieftain and 2 more units of slaves. |

Well, as I say, I wouldn't drop the champs in the furnace pushers units, so you will need to find a few more points if you want to get 2 units of slaves. Dropping the plague banner, 3 clanrat champions, 2 plague censers on your 2 PPs, will give you enough to buy said shield, 2 bare units of slaves, and give one of your PPs a flail instead. I think I'd drop an extra clanrat somewhere to give your other PP a flail too, but that's just tinkering

Yea, other than that seems pretty decent? This will probably when I go up against dark elves. in a couple months after I build my 1k list. |

You know all of the monks touching the furnace with the censer holding priest are going to have to test correct? I'd drop the censer for a regular flail, or a cheap magic weapon. --Cap |

Yeah, a normal flail is a way better bargain, as well as the benefit of not killing your own guys. At most what are you going to do, hit like 5 -6 enemies with the extra test, and like 12 of your own? |
