Escalation league; advice please

so me and a couple of buddies are starting an ascalation league, i`ll be up against a dwarf gun line, shooty DE`s, a res spam VC, and some lizard men... no EotG`s till 1250. we are starting at 500 points and paintingé building as we go.

my 500 is

20 slaves
20 clanrats
20 plague monks
warplock engineer with condenser
and a doom wheel

my 750 is a plague priest with a furnace

my 1000 is
10 more clanrats add a muscian and flag bearer plus spears and shields
10 more plague monks
warplock and priest upgrade to lvl 2 and maybe some magic items

and from there im not sure what i am going to add any advice or tips would be appreciated thanks.

Against that lot of opposition, my advice would be to max out on spam (slaves/giant rats/night runners) which is low on the targetting priorities and can block troops. These are your answers to shooting, raising new units, and elites you dont want to engage with. All of this enables your hammer units (wheel, furnace etc) to get where you want them.

alright... cool i was thinking about adding some giant rats... how are night runners now without skirmish?
