Ok so heres my list for skryre. Ive used it in one battle against empire and didn't do great any tactics or ideas are more than welcome. Thanks in advance. You have rather a lot of blocks of ranked units for a skryre list - I understand that you want the clanrats so you can take the weapon teams, but what role are the giant rats filling here? I would cut those, or replace with a couple of rat darts for less points. I would also trim your clanrat units a bit - you aren't looking to dominate in close combat with a skryre list, rather use magic and shooting as your big punches. Don't forget that even an MSU clanrat unit without any command is still a reasonably cheap WFT delivery system To that end, then, a WLC and a doomwheel are both good, and jezzails are a must - but I would personally field a second unit of jezzails. Cut the PCBs: while very good, they don't quite fit here, and you don't have the monks to make them hang around. Also, consider your BSB carefully - if you're going with a warlord general, you have already played down the magic side - if you're not careful, with only 2 casters, which you have spent a fair amount on (about an eighth of your points on two engineers), their nice magic tricks aren't going to get through. I'd either go with a seer general or a third WE instead of your BSB. PWG aren't necessarily a bad choice in a skryre list, but personally I find units of 5 don't achieve much, and usually end up being wiped out or routed. I would suggest upping the model count here, or not bothering. I don't use them that often tho, so there might be a use for 5 that I'm missing. What do you use the rat swarms for? If it's just as a screen for jezzails, I'd only take 2 swarms per unit of jezzails; on the other hand, 3-4 can make a decent tarpit in the middle of the field, though I suspect your large blocks of clanrats will be there? My main advice is don't try to win on all fronts; skryre is usually shooty (with magic support) so try to play to your strengths. |
