Hmm, this looks like a skaven army to me, not an OK army . . . (sorry, terrible joke) Anyway, this looks like a fine first 1500 pt list. Nothing wrong with it, so there's nothing I think you need to change. As an observations, at 1500 pts stormbanner is quite expensive, although obviously if you regularly face shooting armies, it's more than worth it. If you don't, consider dropping it for a couple of rat darts - you have a lot of good sized units, so you could absorb the occassional shooting of armies that don't focus on it, and the darts can be very useful to support your large ranked units. |

forgive my ignorance but I'm new to warhammer, a rat dart is a small giant rat pack right? what are they useful for? I also noticed I have another special slot I haven't used, would it be worth dropping a core choice to fill it? maybe a giant rat unit for some more PCBs or jezzails even |

Yes, rat darts are 1 packmaster and 5 giant rats. They have various uses, but I guess the principal one is that they're an extremely cheap unit that is still US6 and therefore capable of negating ranks with a flank charge. They are called darts because they are often deployed in single file, making them extremely maneuverable, and usually able to get on a flank. (note they're also relatively fast). Your opponent probably won't charge them, they're not worth much - and if he does, he opens himself up for a flank charge from one of your big units. Other than that, they're an incredibly cheap unit for any purposes Sacrificial screens, harrassers, annoying obstacles, etc. You can use them with impunity, since if they take 2 casualties (forcing a test) and break, they're then under US5 and won't cause panic in other units.PCBs and Jezzails are both worth their weight in gold, so by all means - but if you start to reduce numbers in your (at the moment) horde army, it will change your tactics a bit, and stormbanner starts to look more important again. |

Well I wasn't particularly aiming for a horde list, but most topics I see that dont have a lot of models generally get picked out for that. If I replaced one of the giant rat units with 4 jezzails with one upgraded to a sharpshooter and kept the storm banner would that still work well then? |

Sorry, I didn't mean to assume a playstyle - by horde I meant that you have 4 big blocks of ranked models (25+), with some slave units; even if you didn't aim for it, these will all have decent static CR, which is horde-style.
Yes, I think that would work fine. Be aware that Stormbanner will affect your jezzails too while it's in effect. |
