I've decided that I really like the idea of the Doom Flayer so I'm looking to either convert or scratch build at least 6 of them but with only one (rather amazing) Doomflayer here in the galery I'm stuck for inspiration. So I just thought I'd ask to see other pictures of Doom Flayers in any stages of construction or things that you either think would make a good base to convert the model from or things that just look like portable meat grinders that can inspire. Thanks to all in advance for help. |

Just out of curiosity, what size army do you expect to take 6 Doomflayers in? I have a hard time not taking a WFT and if I can fit in a 3rd weapons team, a plague mortar. BTW, there are several Doomflayer conversions in this gallery, aside from mine, but you have to go back 60 or 90 days to see all of them. |

The list I was thinking of is listed here Only 5 Doom Flayers but I like even numbers Spikedog I've already added your Doom Flayer to my favourites as inspiration, found it on google images. What I like best about it is that it actually fits on a cavalry base which is one of the areas I've been struggling with. |

Yeah, that's one problem I've been having big time. Especially trying to get two crew members on it. Makes it almost impossible to use warmachines or chariots as a base. |

Yea I really wanted to make the figure fit on a cavalry base and while mine does I had to make some compromises, it over hangs the front of the base by about .5" and it only has a single crew member. I think there are some awesome looking models that stay true to the original design (For Example) but there is no way it would fit on a cav base which makes it being used in game a little more difficult. |

Expensive. Out of Print. But I've always loved the Confrontation "Goblin Madwheels: http://www.nobleknight.com/imagecode/resiz...idth=0&height=0 Available here: http://www.nobleknight.com/ProductDetail.a..._5_A_GenreID_E_ Seem to come 3/box though, making each mini ~$10 USD. I guess taht isn't so bad. And conversions would be a cinch with the old clannie heads and some GS'd fur. |
