Hey, sorry if this has been brought up before but i'm wondering what other Skaven players use to transport there horde.
I'm going to be using rare earth magnets on the bottom of there bases and have them on movements trays with flexible iron sheeting so they won't move around during transport and for more ease during gaming.

Does anyone know of good carry cases for this?
Any help would be appreciated ^_^

Yeah, there was a thread not long ago.
Here.
I'd tell you what I use, but I'd only be repeating what I've said in that other thread. Take a look through it.

Although, about magnetising your minis; My friend did it with his Warriors of Chaos and it worked brilliantly. It's much easier to organise combats on hills and stuff, without models constantly falling to their death. So, if you have the money, go for it.

Thanks mate, yea i've already got 400 of the magnets on there way now. Seeing as it takes me long enough as it is with my HE to set up and pack away i wasn't gonna do the same with my Skaven! Battlefoam seems good.

Just curious, what size magnets are you guys buying? I picked up the 1/8 x 1/16 ones, pretty sure those will work well enough...

Damn... Already placed my order <_<

A buddy traded me 2 of his magnets for a handful of oral syringes so I could play with them. If I'm remembering the dimensions correctly, I actually preferred the thinner magnets laid out on metal sheets as it makes the models easier to remove. It might not have the super-stick upside-down capacities, but it'll stop my rats from sliding all over the place all the same.

If you don't mind a thread hi-jack, I'm curious if anyone has had experience transporting armies through international airports. I've been trying to work out how I can bring upwards of 3,000 points of Skaven with me from the US to the UK.

My plan was to magnetize them on their trays and keep them in cardboard boxes in my carry on. I reeeeally want to avoid putting them into checked luggage. On the other hand, carboard boxes full of oddly shaped metal bits might raise a few eyebrows when going through customs?

When it comes to going through airports all I can really recommend is GW solid cases and put them in your luggage. The reason for this is at one point one of my friends had a car drive into the back of his car at a junction crushing his boot but despite that being where his 3 cases were not a single model in the cases broke... the cases did however get a bit scuffed.

So if the cases can survive car crashes then even baggage handlers should struggle.

Although such a rapid response is really appreciated, checking them into my luggage is not an option. I will be studying abroad for a semester and will not have very much extra room in my checked baggage.

I just reviewed the US policy in regards to carry-on luggage and feel pretty comfortable bringing them under their standards. Unless they accuse me of being able to stab someone with a 2-inch plastic rat carrying a sword, or bashing someone with a metal WLC, I think I'll be ok...

My battlefoam case matches all the regulations to be taken on as hand luggage (I have this one).
I had no problems getting them on board, and nobody even searched it!
