ok so magic missile shooting is not affected, what exactly does this mean, any non BS shooting that counts as magical? aka, everything we have, or just magic missile spells?
How are people in your area playing this.

Dommwheels,WLC,WTF are all warpstone weapons, are they affected? (had to verify, none of the entries in the list mention this special rule, but the individual pages do list it (just not in bold like all other special rules )

It's a matter of some debate. I refer you to this thread: http://underempire.net/index.php?showtopic=31585&st=0
So it's kinda uncertain.

Jezzails, Ratling Guns, Pistols and Muskets are all at -2 to hit, because they use BS (magical or not).

I still think the 'magic missile / magical missiles' argument is a load of horse dung...

So the warplightning cannon, the doomwheel, warpire thrower, catapult and the plaguewind mortars are unaffected.

Since they're all magical and don't use BS.
I have sigs turned off, not because I'm epileptic, but I might become one, should I turn them back on.

As was pointed out earlier, in the previous edition of the army book, the banner's reading was alot clearer and would have affected WFTs, Plagueclaws, mortars and Doomwheel... I for one think it still should (for the sake of fairness), even though I am the one defending the opposite view in the aforementioned thread... :)

seriously guys, don't start another thread on this issue, there are allready too many, use one of the old ones

the correct answer is: WE DON'T KNOW.
its debatable, its been debated and it will continue to be debated till a FAQ comes out
It would be ugly to watch people poking sticks at a caged rat. It is uglier still to watch rats poking sticks at a caged person.

Best thing is to agree with your gaming group how to play it. At Gobstyks we are plying it as any magical shooting attack that does not use BS is unaffected, so yes WFT, Doomwheel, WLC etc are not affected.

Since my gaming group can't agree on it I've just build armies that don't use it.

Ahh, well you see 5 out of the 6 regular Warhammer players at Gobstyks have or are building a Skaven army ;)

people don't usually agree on rules that are not somewhat in their favor aswell... you might get a dwarf to agree with you (they have a magical cannon i heard) but otherwise no. i just say i'll play it like this and if you don't like it, sucks to be you (i don't say it like that, but you get hte point). i don't do this with every ambiguity in the skaven book ofcourse (i use it only once per game, etc)

Yep, both the cannon and grudgethrower can have runes added which make them magical, among other things.
TK Catapult and Warriors of Chaos Hellcannon are also magical non-BS shooting weapons.
Mutate: and on that note, never bother with the Storm Banner against TK or WoC. :P
