Definetly Bonebreaker. I always choose this option because it lends my Warlord considerable killing power |

I take the war litter. This is mainly because I face allot of shooty armies and the bonebreaker doesn't improve my generals armour save. Also the bonebraker (I think) allows him to be targeted inside his clanrat unit (or stormvermin or whatever). |

war litter! Sure its only 4 str 4 attacks but the added benefit of not being able to be sniped out of a unit and getting an extra +1 AS makes it better than the bonebreaker imho. |

Im actually waiting on the FAQ for the StormBanner, but if it goes to multi-use im totally taking a bonebreaker warlord with magnet trinket and WAW. 10 S5 attacks with near invulnerability to shooting makes me wet myself.....in a good way.
|
| You kids these days have it so easy, what with your Plague Furnaces and your Hellpit Abominations and your Bonebreaker Warlords. Back in MY day, all we had was Slaves and Clanrats!...and auto-hit Ratling Guns...and skirmishing Jezzails...and 2D6 Warp Lightning...and Lead From The Back...wait, what was my arguement again? | |

bonbreaker equals massive killytude, but he's US 5 and can be picked out. Pox Rat has move 6, enables warlord to lead giant rats without slowing them down. could be awesome. Warlitter is the best of the three for leading rank and file clanrats and stormvermin. with extra attacks, and +1 ar save, Warlords will be pimpin' bigtime on thier slave mounted ghetto-sleds. |

I second this, and couldn't have said it nearly as well myself... Extra attacks and weapon skill make it better than the big Rat, Armour Save and lack of being targetable make it better than the big Ogre. |

kwl kwl i think that the war-litter might do ok, but its not that benificial for 35 points. your not getting the killing power, and although the BB can be targeted, i think when the attacks are randomised, it make the mount & warlord more likely to survive. Also do you put the war litter on 400mm base? |

If the BoneBreaker is being targeted by a cannonball then the randomized hits make the Bonebreaker or the Warlord more likely to survive That said, "rust armour" or whatever it's called now [World's Edge?] can help against any cannonball that randomizes to the Warlord. I think a 400 mm base is a little big. Mine's on a 40x40 base. Helps keep rank/leadership bonus a little longer and shouldn't garner complaints. 40x20 would also be fine (and allow more return attacks if you get flanked, but you don't wanna get flanked anyways...).

For 35 points you get +1 to your armor save, 4 extra Str4 ws 4 attacks, and protection within your rank and file troops AND doesn't count towards your 100pt magic allowance. That alone is definately worth the points, I'm not sure why you would consider it over costed. On top of that, I typically equip my warlord with the warpstone armor (i think) that deals an automatic hit against any attacker it makes and armor save against. You combine this with a shield and the war litter, you have a 2+ AS that bites back. Devestating against RnF infantry which is what your warlord should be engaging anyways. |

Carried by four guys, so should probably take up the same space as four guys (I wish that GW had thought to add something about base sizes in though). |
My Skaven Army, now with Testudorats!![]() " However, Bonebreakers have another mark against them now. Going up a hill can kill your warlord if you roll bad. Should call them Neckbreakers "Get down from there! You could fall and break your neck!"" | |

Stormvermin

I personnaly had the most success with the Warlitter/warpstone armor combo. Getting down to a 2+ save with warpstone armor, and then the added attacks makes a great way to kill rank and file troops. |
