I have one bell/furnace box which should I have? If I was going too build a list around the Bell it would be very magic heavy with a BSB, a plague preist and a warlock. If I made a list around the furnace it would be more combat oriented with a Warlord on a litter as the general and the plague preist and the warlock and BSB. So which one should I make out of the box? |
| He is a good freind. He stabs in the front. | |

There are actually several guides on the internet about how with a little bit of creative use of magnets you can have the pieces removable and change out the furnace bits for the bell bits and vice versa. |

i have tried both... my vote goes for the bell... it gives bounses in a radious and does many dif things... where as the furance is mostly there to provide an unbreakable unit... |

...a ridiculously powerful unbreakable unit. I say buy another tower and use both. But, for one...I would use whatever you are used to. If you are used to a strong magic phase, go with the Bell. If you like fighting, go with the Furnace.

the prob with the furance... you lose out on a lot of attacks at the front due to the size of the furnace its self.. also the furance is very vulnerable and makes for a juicy target.... it provides impact hits (so does the bell)... it has close combat attacks but they can backfire... badly. also the unit itself is vulnerable to shooting and magic due to no save... a bell with stormvermin are expensive but provide a lot more i reckon... and as far as combat... roll 13 and above and you should be doing a fair amount of damage in combat... |

I have seen both used, rdf...trust me, the Furnace is not nearly as vulnerable as you think it is. I have yet to see a furnace army lose. That may be due to new rules. As for fewer attacks, the furnace brings 7 plus 4 from the priest. That's 11 attacks and the bonuses. |

I've been running Bell lists with a great deal of success since the new book. I really enjoy the Bell in a unit of Storm Vermin with the Storm Banner. Its a solid unit capable of holding its own in combat and winning support combats (I support mine with PCBs with a Plague Priest). I normally make sure to snag Pestilent Breath (we're playing that seers can default to either #1 until an FAQ) and then roll mostly in Ruin to increase the magic phase damage capacity. All in all my style of play favors the Screaming Bell so I've been using it and winning. |

That seems reasonable as PCB can hold their own without being stubborn. |
