If a VC is casting repeated IoN on a Vargulf that is getting eaten by an HPA, he is likely either killing you entirely on the battlefield or is desperate at that point and absolutely needs the Vargulf. IoN is meant to be a number gainer and a backup wound gainer for vampires. It may get irritating if the Vargulf that you are almost killing each turn gets healed turn after turn. But if the VC player keeps having to do it, you know it is irritating him more. There are two combat phases and two crumble phases between IoN castings. As a vampire player, I never felt confident enough to fight anything big with a vargulf. As a skaven player, I feel even more confident that a vargulf cannot survive two full combat phases between healings in order to tie up the HPA for more than a turn. This is also a 1v1 thread and A-bomb will win the 1v1 almost every play through. If the Vargulf is getting backup, there is no moral dilemma in backing up yourself. You can schedule a visit in the flank by something else in the flank to boost crumble scores. |

Sorry this comment is off topic... Empire is going to get really dirty in 8th when the mortars will actually be useful (ie no partials as rumoured.) That said, I'm not worried about Empire's healing because their monsters suck and they can't heal the tank. Hydra and HPA stand above all else, currently. |
