so now that my skaven army is finally complete i am looking for other ways to fill my love for giving games workshop my paycheck (sorta kidding). as one of my favorite things about the game is building the armies i am looking into getting another one, Daemons. now this is pretty much the exact opposite of skaven as they are hard hitters but few and definitely now horde, so i have no idea what to get. i like slanesh a khorne (spelling?) for speed and power but what should i buy? i am thinking blood letters, deamonettes, skulltaker, the masque, the harald on a juggernaught, flesh hounds with karanak, screamers, and have no idea about the rares. i have paged through the book but have not studied it. and dont really care if people cry cheese i like the models (and the power) of daemons. but with what i have said please help me with what i should buy how many i should buy and pretty much anything. i have never seen nor played daemons (we dont have any here) so i am open to pretty much anything. and money is no problem so dont worry about posting its too expensive so dont buy this or that. please help. thanks |

not many will cry cheese agains slaanesh. demonetes are weaker than plague monks (imo) for allmost 2x cost, seekers aren't that great, nor are screamers so all of those should make a fluffy army. afaik the best rares are flamers and beasts of nurgle, but i never really faced them except 1k or less games, and even those were only about 3 |

It would be ugly to watch people poking sticks at a caged rat. It is uglier still to watch rats poking sticks at a caged person. 13th spell casts: 2 Kills: 32 Grave Guard,1 Vampire Lord | |

I don't usually play with Special Characters (I miss that 6th ed. rule...), so personally I'd stay away from the Masque and Skulltaker. That's just me, though. For the sake of maintaining friendships at my local GW store, I'd go for a mainly Slaanesh army, due to the fact that, as Bibamus has already stated, Slaanesh aren't AS bad as the other three. So, in that case, Daemonettes and Screamers would be a good start. If you don't want people to throw rotten fruit at you, you should probably stay away from Flamers. Or keep them at a minimum. I'm not sure whether it's just my local GW that's extremely anti-cheese, so the reactions from where you are might not be as bad. When constructing a Daemon's army, you should probably try and make the fluffiest list possible, 'cause otherwise everyone will hate you. You'll still win 9 times out of 10 with a really fluffy list. |
