If you buy some magnets you can make the pieces magnetized so you can swap between the 2. Google magnetizing mini bits and you'll find some guides it's common around my club for 40k players magnetizing tank bits. |

For now I think Ill be building the furnace. As its not a lord riding it ill get more use out of it untill all my playing group has 2000points. From the pics im not sure how well it will magnitize as it looks like the bell and furnace while sharing the same basic model have signifigant differances in building. Not as simple as a tank where the main model is the same and all you are swapping is the guns. But im sure some amazing skilled people will prove me wrong lol |

This is of course personal choice but since you're soliciting opinions, I consider a plague furnace of greater priority because you can use it in any size of game. Also, in larger games it can be adapted to fit in with any of the lord choices available to us. If you're like me and change your army list around all the time, the added flexibility is great. Since the rat ogre, bell and seer are separate components, I plan on converting a new screaming bell out of the spare parts using some pieces of my old metal bell carriage. |

for game purposes... i think the bell is a better performer... used with stormvermin i was very impressed by it... but the furances lack of any save showed through when it was killed along with the priest by standard fire... by arrows. |

Personally i like the bell. I chose the bell because ity means my weak grey seer can be protected by freindly units around it, and then above the masses means i can still cast magic, however, this is awful against dragons as they fly imbetween you-i hate vargulfs! Also the bell grants the seer and the bell a 4+ ward save. |

I prefer the Furnace as I love Clan Pestilens. However, a Grey Seer is the only real caster in the list and he needs protection. GS/Bell/SV is solid. |

The bell has much more 'survivability' with it's 4+ ward save.
