So its been a while guys!

Who fancies a painting challenge this saturday the 28th?

I will be playing rugby from around 1pm ish, so I will set the thread up for everyone at around 12 noon, UK time and then go off to play.

When I get home I will join in and paint along with everyone else, until pretty late.
Hope to go till around 3-4am ish, probably from around 6pm ish.
I'll be attempiting to get a load of my old Skaven stuff done, which will include 15 slaves, a screaming bell and a doomwheel. Of course I won't get near all of that done, but every little helps.

If I forget to set the thread up, someone else can do it. ;)

So whos up for it then? ^_^

More grey every day.
Since I'm GMT-5 here, I can probably take part in this! 7:00 AM to 10:00 or 11:00 PM.

I will paint plague monks, slaves and sculpt my Bonebreaker.
So old. So so old.

I can probably also participate this time. I might need to go to the gamestore in the afternoon, but when I get home I'd definately be up for some good old fashioned painting challenging ^_^ .

I'll try to paint the last few items from my empire army (huntsmen and captain on foot) or the battle for black reach (if I've got it by then) for my outrider demo kit.

I could do it as it would give me a reason to paint all my 75+ giant rats and packmasters/master moulders. Maybe even intersperse it with work on my Abom sculpt, Abom conversion and character painting.

I just might be up for this if I miss a tournament Saturday (a possibility)

Are we allowed to assemble in advance?
Twisted, evil, treacherous, and diabolical rats wielding arcane technologies that are dangerous to foe and friend, that care not for their kin and are constantly plotting against each other. What more need I say about what makes Skaven cool?

My Skaven Blog Updated November 29, 2009. 7:57 PM (-6 GMT)

Have spare little rats from the old clanrats, current plague monks, corpse cart, or individual rats from the doom wheel? PM me. I want them. 30 more needed.

I'm looking forward to this, seems like years since i took part in a challenge!

Scar-anyway that the points we accumalte could be used for the Skavenblight paint club seeing as theres only a few days between the challenge and the start date for the paint club?

Cheers,
Mike.

ratmikey - You will get PRS points as normal for the painting challenge.
The SPC is simply a replacement for the Tale of 4+ Gamers, so is essentialy just another way of gaining more PRS points, and possible some cool 'extras'. ;)

Swissdictator - Of course you can assemble in advance.
Basicaly this is an event to get a load of people painting and chatting at the same time.
You can gain points for any work you do during the 24hrs, be it assembly, painting, converting or basing.

The full rules are here;

from 24hr challenge rules etc

24 Hour Painting Challenges

For entering a 24hr challenge there are great rewards available!
These depend on how long you last and what you achieve in your time.

For lasting 6hrs you gain a PRS point.
For 12hrs you gain 3pts.
For lasting 18hrs you gain 5pts.
For lasting the full 24hrs you gain 6pts.

For each 10vvp's you complete you get 1 PRS point.
For example, painitng 5 man sized models (2vvp's each), or assembling 10 man sized models (1vvp each).

All of your work has to be verified by pictures however, to prevent cheating!
No pictures = no points. So preferably post all your pictures on the same background of a newspaper from the current day. That would be perfect.

For further details on the vvp's available for things, check the first post of the painting vows thread. ;)

I'm looking forward to this challenge. ^_^

I could join this challenge. This is a perfect motivator to start painting my new Clanrats and maybe finish a block. (I'm a slow painter.)

i can do fifteen slaves in an hour. come on scar, you can do more than that.

i'm in. i'll be painitng a hodege podge of things, as i will be painitng a crapton of my skaven in the days leading up to the 28th. what can i say, i have a tourney next week. i'll probably stay up to 12 midnight or one, all things depending.

i will update in 1 - 2 hour intervals, and all pictures will be linked from my dakka dakka account. also, all will be taken with my shiny new camera!

ratmiley and scar = the SPC in my opinion is not a replacement of the To4G, but a reimagining of it. mike, i can see that you mean can you use the models painted to count for your monthly total. in these special curciumstances i can see that being allowed. in that case:

for all who are to take part in this challenge and take part in the SPC, please after completion of the challenge on saturday personal message me with a list of what you have done, and pictures verifying as such.

since my official announcment as organizer of the SPC is done, you all have a jolly good evening tommorow.
Renewal is good

Man this site is full of good ideas to get people painting. I am really enjoying all the different motivational tools you have here, I guess that since I just signed up for the PRS and entered my first painting competition I should try for all the points I can and throw my hat in for this as well!

So if you will accept me I would like to be part of this as well!

Do I need to pledge a certain amount of models or is it just a time based thing because I paint really slowly...

@Spikedog: Just join in on saturday, add a couple of us on msn (should be some functioning buttons underneath posts), log in and start painting. Take pics if you like and just mention what you've managed to do in the end. Scar'll take it into account for your PRS points ;) .

I'll add those people to the PRS scheme very soon! ;)

I'd just like to announce that the models done for the challenge, will NOT count towards the first months SPC tallies. This is essentialy because it hasn't started yet and also that we need clear and defined times to work each month in.

For the sake of ease of updating and also my sanity, this will be the start of the month!

I'm currently working on the rules/information thread for you all to look at and hope to have it done by the end of tomorrow night, so you all will have a few days to read up on everything and get ready for the SPC to start. ^_^

I'm also looking forward to the painting challenge as well and am currently waiting for a call to see if I am indeed playing rugby or not. So I might end up with a bit longer to paint.

I think I might give this a shot depending on how I feel in the morning. 6 hours should be doable. I'll see if I can get my new clanrat box painted up. :)

I just started building some more Clanrats so that I will have enough to paint tomorrow. I should be able to do this for at least 12 hours as I have to stay in and wait for a courier anyway, so perfect timing!

So do we all chat on MSN or similar while we paint to keep motivation up or do we all just post in a single thread?

If anyone did want to chat over MSN then please feel free to add me and I will do likewise:
