bakfire the experimenter
graduate of the school for dangerous inventions
it would depend on which daemon and what upgrades they had...

a blood thirster with the obsiden armour i think would take him

a lord of change would probably get owned (in combat)

a unclean one with regen would probably own him

i wouldnt use him 1 on 1 against a greater daemon

against a star dragon........ probably the verminlord dependent on who charged....
Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state.

Recent studies show that people who have attempted to comprehend Daniel have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia.

Lord of Change; Vermin Lord would probably win a one on one fight other than the fact the Tzeentch daemon wounds the VL on 3's while he's only wounded himself on 4's. Also, the Staff of Change could possibly kill the VL with a single hit and the LoC can fly so it won't be easy to catch him.

Great Unclean one; With only 4 attacks the GUO is a pretty easy fight even with those mighty 10 wounds. However with trappings of Nurgle he gets regeneration and could wear the VL down through attrition or just take the Balesword and one or two hits would down the VL.

Bloodthirster; Doesn't need upgrades to win but could nullify the VL's glaive and wound him on 2's for not many points. Also built in MR(2) and possibility of a dispel scroll on him so magic isn't anything for the BT to really worry about even though he's not a wizard himself.

Keeper of Secrets; Always attacks first, hits on 3s, wounds on 3s and 6 attacks. If the VL survives the first round, he better kill the KoS because he probably won't survive the second. Possibility of the KoS healing himself with wounds caused too.

Star Dragon; Hits on 4's but wounds on 2's... No possible upgrades however. SD can fly so would probably get the charge but attacks after the VL after the first round so if the SD doesn't finish it straight away, it's probably going down.

Conclusion; Vermin Lord isn't the best daemon in combat, especially if the others take their upgrades. Bare in mind he comes as a level 4 wizard and with the glaive however, these are comparable to gifts worth about 150 points.

Yeah, against most of those I think your going to lose if for no other reason than your inability to fly. The fact that most of those fly means your chances of getting the charge are going to be slim if your opponent knows what he is doing.

I agree tht the onyl one in the list that the VL can take is probably the lord of change. The Great unclean one is really going to come down to your rolls for multiplied wounds, and his rolls for regen.

the verminlord isn't as strong as he should be for the pricce tag, dragon and daemon will win in most cases.
