Shennanigans are out of the question!

Did you guys notice, none of our weapon teams have the "warpstone weapon" tag? In the fluff, it talks about warpstone-infused bullets, and flaming liquid warpstone, but I cannot find any hard text stating that the rattling or the WFT are actually "warpstone weapons". I hate GW's editors... |

"Nurgle has got to be my favorite chaos god, fluff wise... He's portrayed as this sort of jovial, jolly old guy who thinks that rotting apocolyptic plague is funny as hell... So basically he's a big ole fat bastard who thinks giving you a scorching case of the herp is a big laugh." ---Kadrium 7th Edition Fellblade Kills: 1 Steam Tank, 1 Warrior Priest, 4 Greatswords, 3 Treekin, 1 Chaos Sorcerer, 5 Chaos Warriors, 13th Spell Kills: 8 Chaos Chosen. | |

In the case of Doom-flayer and Warp-Grinder you're correct. However the 'Warpstone Weapon' tag is buried in the descriptions of the other 3. On Warpfire Thrower and Ratling Gun the second sentence of their Special Rules description states it. For the Mortar its the first sentence of the third paragraph. Definitely easy to miss.

Warpfire p60 Special Rules paragraph1 line3 Ratling p61 Special Rules paragraph1 line2-3 Mortar p63 Special Rules paragraph3 line1 Grinder p64 Special Rules - In close combat line6 Jezzail p65 The Warplock Jezzail line1 WLC Firing The Cannon paragraph3 line4 That's all I found. The lay out is absolutely horrible. The place where it says they are a warpstone weapon is a small sentence buried inside of a random paragraph, most the time inside the Special Rules (but not always). The paragraph is so full of fluff mixed with random tidbits of rules, it is an absolutely terrible layout for figuring out the rules quickly. Looks like it might just be best to rewrite the rules yourself to be able to clear things up in game. I hope the poor editing was just because GW doesn't give a rats ass about Skaven, rather than this being their new style of writing. They should really take note of how Wizards of the Coast does their rules/fluff, or maybe just get someone who hasn't flunked English (or any other writing course) to write up the rules <_< MUTATE: Ninja'd. However my complaint wasn't ninja'd

The following actually have 'this is a warpstone weapon' somewhere in the text. Warp Muskets, Warplock Jezzails, Warplock Pistols, Abominations's warpstone spikes, Plagueclaw Catapult shots. All attacks from the Plague Furnace, Poison Wind Globes, Ratling Gun shots, Warpfire Thrower shots, Poison Wind Mortar shots, Warp-Grinder hits, Zzzzap! Bolts, Warplightning Cannon shots, Plague Censors, Skweel Gnawtooth's attacks, Deathmaster Snikch's attacks. At least, I'm fairly sure. |
