I believe it tells you at the text above the Scavenge pile list in the book itself. |

Actually it is not very clear. It only states that you can multiples in the army. So, no, there is no clear answer. |

This is one of those things that people are having a hard time agreeing about. On one side there is no hard or fast rule that says you can't take multiples of a non magical item. On the other hand there are the ridiculous situations such as a chieftan with 4 tails or a warlord with 20 rat hounds (thats a lota rat poop to pick up) that scream for us to impose a one item per character limit. Until they FAQ it, I would just agree between players how to do it, or make a house rule with your gaming group. |

Not really sure, but in the tail weapon description it mentions that it can be a tail, extra appendage (moulder) or even a skryre mechanical arm of some sort. So I could see one modeling a skryre arm with an actual tail weapon and taking it twice. As far as the scavenging pile you almost have to model it if you want to have more than 1. If you really want those 2+ tail weapons then you need to show me on the model where they are coming from. |

I dunno though...20 rat hounds would end almost as badly for the Warlord as carrying a fellblade. ![]() BTW, dual pistols is the only one I'd like, as it's the perfect use for the Veskit model. |

Thats a good question, the way it sounds is that each item may be purchased by several characters, but it doesn't say a character can't buy more than 1 of each item either. The way some of the descriptions are written comes across as a single item only thing, OR, as the writer (JV) just didn't think of the idea that someone might want to take more than 1 of each item. I say until it's FAQ'ed; go for it.

Short answer: Can you buy two Heavy Armors? Can you have additional Additional Hand Weapons? No, because it's an option. Long answer: What they did was to get the "mundane Skaven things", so those every character and even some champions can equip, on a single list, so they don't have to write them down at every characters entry. Otherwise you'd have things like Chieftain May get (only 1) : - Weapon Type 1 .... X pts - Weapon Type 2 .... XX pts May get, up to an amount 50 pts - magic items (see list) ... variable - tail weapon ... X pts - guard rat ... X pts - ... - ... - ... That would be a loooong list, at every character. Therefore they extracted that information and placed it on a special list, the Pile. It even says so in the Pile's description. "This is an option." Like a Two Handed Weapon or a Shield. Chieftain, [x] 2H Weapon, [ ] Shield, [x] Guard Rat If people start using Options more than once, I'll create the Rat-with-a-hundred-shields... Shields say, they need a hand to be used, Who say's I only have 2? (to even get that "I have 20 tails" statement in there) Why not? It's an option. mutate: Dang, no more Heavy Armor option. Well, theeeeen... Shields. |

Here is one possibility, and why I say each option can only be taken once. Warlord, xtra hw, poisoned attacks, 10 tail weapons, war-litter. 223 points That is 5 poisoned S4 attacks, 10 poisoned S3 attacks, and 4 S4 mudane attacks. against WS3 T3 opponents, he will cause an average of around 10-11 wounds. Factoring in that such troops are likely lightly armoured, that means he could defeat a fully ranked unit on his own. Such a warlord is a monster at killing RnF troops. Taking multiple tails along with poison is just asking to be abused. |

Here is how I see it: The scavage pile is just another magic item section that character can choose from. So as stated in the rulebook you can only have one item from each section (one magic weapon, one magic armour, one arcane item etc etc.) so you can only take on scavage pile item. But that could be just my thoughts trying to make sense of a very badly and unclear written book. Although reading the Skaven FAQ compilation on The Warhammer Forum makes me shake my head in disbelieve of what people come up with (Like: Does a Slave unit deployed in 1 file and 20 ranks do D3+20 hits when beating in combat? /Facepalm /Slap imo). |
