Hi! Sat wilth the new armybook and checked for new things special to 7th edition and came upon a question maybe you could help me with. When slaves break from combat they do the regular nr of hits and then is removed from play as if wiped out in cc. My question is if they flee after they do the hits or just removed as they stand and the opponent can choose to make an overrun or if they are removed after breaking and the opponent can't make any kind of persuit/overrun move at all??? For me it seems most likely as I RAW the rule that they are removed after breaaking and the opponent are not allowed to make any kind of move in skaven turn or his own either. Please tell me your view of the rule as you use it in your games or interpreted from the armybook =) //Greycloaked |

I think you can make an Overrun if you beat them on the charge, but after that you just stand there and they are removed. |

If you completely wipe out an enemy in combat (other than on the charge) you're stuck standing there afterwords. And that's exactly what happens when slaves run away. So if the enemy charges and breaks the slaves on the same turn, they get their overrun. Otherwise they're just stuck. |

thanks guys for clearing that up for me =) Another reason to charge with the slavesblock against powerful units if you got no way out away from the charge and no counterstrike in the vicinity. Charge miss some punches maybe even get a save from the unit then break explode and do some more autohits on pretty decent amounts of S3. better than being charge the next turn and probably overrun by cavalry or flyers... //Greycloaked over and out!! |

Yeah, it's a strange one... they break but they don't flee. I suppose no flee means no pursue. I'd go with the "on the charge only" version. Too bad, really. Pursuing breaking slaves was a great way to pull units forward and set up for other charges. I guess you just need to bait them into charging your slaves now. |
