Clan Mors themed armies will most definitely use Night Gobbos as their slave units - its in character to do so. I believe alot of gamers you face are actually appreciative of 'non' skaven slave units on the table... easier to distinguish what is what. |

That's a good point about the Skavenslaves prodding and threatening the non-Skaven among them forward to the fight. I would say that is definitely fluffy. As for differentiating the units on the table: Yes that certainly is appreciated. My slaves look more brown/earth-toned and have no shields or banners in the unit whereas my clanrats have various colors, shields and banners. I haven't played many games, but my opponents never had a problem telling the slaves apart from the clanrats after my pointing them out in the beginning of the game. But I can see everybody's mileage may vary on this. |

I think human slaves vs. human armies is just fine. Human slaves who were forced into the depths of the underempire would surely see the futility of trying to escape for the whole world is touched by skaven. In that case is it better not to be killed in battle than in a slave pen somewhere in an undoubtedly more brutal and painful fashion? Seeing and enduring the horrors of the skaven slave master's whips would also surely drive those unfortunates insane if the warpstone did not do the job first. |

What if the humans are warpstone addled and rabid? |

"Nurgle has got to be my favorite chaos god, fluff wise... He's portrayed as this sort of jovial, jolly old guy who thinks that rotting apocolyptic plague is funny as hell... So basically he's a big ole fat bastard who thinks giving you a scorching case of the herp is a big laugh." ---Kadrium 7th Edition Fellblade Kills: 1 Steam Tank, 1 Warrior Priest, 4 Greatswords, 3 Treekin, 1 Chaos Sorcerer, 5 Chaos Warriors, 13th Spell Kills: 8 Chaos Chosen.

I would assume that any humans or other creatures that are driven insane by warpstone would just try to kill everybody else around them. These creatures would then be overrun and eaten in turn by the Skaven and therefore be useless in a unit of fighting slaves. But I'm not of doctor of Warpstonology or anything ![]() I'd say that if you were concerned about the fluffiness of having non-Skaven be slaves in your army, then at least have some Skaven mixed in who will push the weaker ones (read: humans, goblins, etc.) forward to fight. Give some of these pushy slaves whips. Bam. Effective as Skavenslaves |

regarding warpstone addiction: has anyone played the PC game Drakan? the player controlls a human thats fighting various monsters. one of the levels happens in a mine where human slaves mine something green (don't remember the name) and they attack you, even tought you try to rescue them. that can be used as a fluff option for non-skaven slaves. |

It would be ugly to watch people poking sticks at a caged rat. It is uglier still to watch rats poking sticks at a caged person. 13th spell casts: 2 Kills: 32 Grave Guard,1 Vampire Lord
