The thing about this idea is that your paying a lot of points for something that only needs one magic missile to kill. Being in cover might help against shooting (though quite frankly not for long) but a single magic attack can easily kill this guy because he is a lone character.

Honestly, if you saw this guy near a wizard who could hit him, who here wouldn't use a spell to earn the easy ¬150 VP??

Replace "warpmusket" with "warpstone stars" and you've got a serious killer on your hands. Skitterleap him where needed, or use "sneaky infiltrators" to suprise people then kick em in the nuts. With 3 S5 shots at BS5 causing D3 wounds each, you can easily take care of a pesky wizard, heavy cavalry or maybe even a monster. Plus it's move-and-fire!
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

seer,

he has a 4+ ward save, two wounds, and is armed with a 24 inch str 5 weapon. He would be hard pressed to get counter sniped by a magic missle, unless you bring no magic protection what so ever in terms of casters with dispell dice.

Warpstars are pretty good but the problem with them is the 50 pt cost precludes you from taking anything else on them.
