Well, silly as the suggestion might sound, you could always buy the friggin' armybook! Other then that, asking this to the people that make the files for armybuilder (usually listed in the main screen) might be a lot easier then posting this stuff here. Greetz |

At last i recall they have a 1-2 month delay between a books release and the data files for army builder. |

As silly as this might sound, people who use army builder ALSO have the army book. |

Most people, Rhellion, not all... Hence my post, as with the increased presence and C&D letters (see the 'TalkBloodBowl.com is going offline' thread in the General Wargaming Discussion subforum) from legal department, I'm not too fond of people asking about armybuilder datafiles. Greetz |

I am one of those silly people The book itself is "fluffy"...which I enjoy. I use AB as I also try and build armys that I dont own in the possibility that I might have to face them in battel (ie I creat armies that I might have to face) ...and I've heard rumor that some comps only let you play with list created by AB...is this true? |

As there are known bugs in many army lists for ArmyBuilder, I hope it is not true. AB is an excellent tool for a number of things (including checking to see whether or not a character can take those two items you really fear in an enemy list) but it is not gospel. |

Armybuilder ver 2.2 has been out since Monday here: It'll take a little while to iron out the errors but once finished I'll trust an armybuilder list 90% more than a paper and pencil. You just have to remember check everything against the book as nothing is ever perfect. http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Arromanche/ |

Actually, I'd say that I'd trust a written (or typed) list over an army builder list any day, unless I knew the army that was listed back to front already - checking your facts in the army book goes without saying when you write out your own list, but knowing how people treat computers ("It was on the computer, it must be right"), and the glitches armybuilder files often have... it's a lousy combination. |

Well in my experience hand written lists have been off by literally HUNDREDS of points and have items not allowed like two magical armours, two arcane or talisman items, etc. This happens especially new players. Once the army builder file is correct it will not allow you to cheat so easily. Many many times in the hundreds of game I have played I would copy down the opponents list and then make it on army builder and they would be wrong and I would show them the mistake and they would admit they made the mistake. So when I play an opponent that has an army builder list I can play at ease. I have had hundreds of people copy the file. When mistakes are found they tell me and I correct it. Who is checking your lists for accuracy? I'll trust army builder more but as I said nothing is infallible some mistakes do stay so everything should be checked. ![]() Yes, it does look like for at least now I'm the 2.2 guy.
