what is the best unit size for a unit of clanrats pushing a screaming bell and what the best size for plague monks pushing a plague furnace? Cause obviously the unit pushing the thing is gonna have to be big to survive all the attention but the shouldn't be that big.Obviously it may differ between the two as plague monks are more expensive. On a side note how do you use a screaming bell? ie stay out of fights or just chuck it a combat.Same goes for the plague furnace. thank you very much

40 for both is about right, may seem alot for monks but the furnace does kill them as well as the enemy!

in regards to screaming bell, I would keep it out of combat until late game at least. If there's a uber killing unit out there, trying to get into combat with an enemy unit with average combat prowess. even if the uber unit gets u in the flank or rear, u don't care be cause your seer is not in base with uber unit. Mind u a grey seer actually hiding in combat seems weird but could save his life! Furnace is more combat orientated imo, so charge in a do some damage, might not have a choice with frenzy either way. The plague preist is tougher and can do damage, an if he dies, he's only half the price of your grey seer! |

Any unit used will benefit - 36 - 40 CR w/hnd. weap/shield full cmd. will do nicely. |

Keeping it to 26 clanrats with hw/shield for my bell. I'd do more if it was for the furnace since it does kill some along the way but I want to keep the bell meneuverable and that gives me plenty of time to outlast an enemy on CR. |

i will prob take 30 clanrats with shields and either doom flayer or warpfire... i cant understand people saying take spears on a bell unit... generally you will only have 2 to 3 rats in contact with the enemy giving you bugger all extra attacks evern witht the bells powers... however on a 13 you will still get the same number of attacks whether you have spears or not. furnace... 30+ depending on what else is in the army. |

In my 2250pt army im going to use 30 monks with the furnace. Its a strong enough number to last a few turns even with alot of attention thrown at it and its not too much of a points sink. I like to spread out the abom, vermin lord, doomwheel, and furnace too so the enemy really has to think about which one to shoot at or cast magic at. |
