Hey guys,

Whew....it's really draining painting all these clanrat models. I think I have about 80 almost done.

What I'm looking to do is hit 1000 points while:

- having some chance at winning
- having fun (my opponent too)
- using the cool new models (especially the bell/furnace!)

Here's what I have. Think it's viable? This 999.5

Plague Priest 1
Level 2 1
Plague Furnace 1

Clanrats 25 (already painted)
Spears 25
Shields 25
Music 1
Standard 1
Clawleader 1

Clanrats 25 (painting in progress)
Shields 25
Music 1
Standard 1
Clawleader 1

Skavenslaves 20 (already painted)
Music 1

Skavenslaves 20

Plague Monks 20 (already painted)
Musician 1
Standard 1
Storm Banner 1

Doomwheel 1

Your point total is 1012 first.

I ran a list very similar to this against HE, while my friend wasn't playing a very balanced list (he was running I think 3 deployments, a unit of knights archers and one other maybe), all the toughness tests basically invalidated his ASF.

Personally I wouldn't take spears, or champions on your clanrats. Doomwheel is great fun but I don't know if I'd take it with the furnace I think PCBs are gonna be a better fit. Also put a flail on your priest so he is a little more fighty. I would also pick up a slave on each unit, and drop the musician. While it helps with rallying, in my experience once slaves have fled they've done their job, and rallying on 3 isn't much better than rallying on 2. If my math is correct you go from ~ 3% to ~ 8% chance of rallying.

A unit of gutter runners might also help if you were to drop the doomwheel.

might also help to give your priest a dispel scroll seeing as he has no points spent on magic items.

you should probly take a bigger unit of monks; they won't run, but theyll still take a lot of casualties, and you don't want to furnace being left immobile.
