Warlord heavy armour rat ogre bonebreaker Sword of might enchanted shield Plague Priest 2nd level fp flail Warlock Engineer 2nd level ds Warlock Engineer 2nd level doom rocket warp condenser slaves x 20 slaves x 20 slaves x 20 slaves x 20 clanrats x 24 command wft clanrats x 20 wft 12 rats, 2 pm master moulder gw plague monks x 24 command 6 x pcb 6 x pcb 8 jezzails HPA spikes So this list is supposed to compete in all game phases which is how I like my armies. I am not a fan of big cumbersome units so I am trying out a list that doesn't include the bell (which I don't rate anyway) nor the furnace (which I do like!). The combat power comes from the warlord, priest, monks, pcb, and HPA. I think the magic is strong and the jezzails and wfts give me some shooting. Flankers are the giant rats, HPA, PCBs. Please rate this list, I know everyone and his dog is posting a list but I would appreciate some feedback! Cheers.... |

You have plenty of magic, however the list lacks a solid core of combat units. I would strongly recommend including a third clanrat regiment and boosting the clanrats and monks to 30 strong. |

I'm not sure how solid clanrats are in combat. I have two units of clanrats, a unit of plague monks and 4 units of slaves. Isn't that enough infantry? Not sure why I need to increase them to 30 strong. Can you explain this? My combat units are the hard hitters: the HPA, PCBs and the clanrat unit with the warlord in. |

Because you want to have 3 ranks as long time as possible. 20 Clanrats are just too few... |

you are right, 20 is too small, but i think 30 is also a bit on the big side, unless you are facing a lot of shooting. I tihnk 25 is just right, and I find having multiple units rather than fewer very large units suits my playstyle. I have now updated the list below: Warlord heavy armour warlockweapon ench shield foul pendant bonebreaker rat ogre Plague monk 2nd level flail Warlock Engineer 2nd level warp condenser doom rocket Warlock engineer 2nd level ds x 2 Slaves x 20 Slaves x 20 Slaves x 20 Slaves x 20 Clanrats+mus x 25 ch, mus, sb warpfirethrower Clanrats+mus x 25 ch, mus warpfire thrower 10 giant rats 2 packmasters mm gw 10 giant rats 2 packmasters Plague monks x 25 mus, sb 6 x PCB 6 x PCB Hellpit abomination Plagueclaw catapult This gives me almost 250 ranked infantry models as well as the HPA and the catapult. I face orcs a lot so i have tried to squeeze in as much panic causing stuff as i can. I still think that overall this is still a very balanced army. It competes in all phases and has a nice balance of fighting and magic characters...... |
