Dr. Acula
Clanrat
I've got a game coming up against a nasty VC list on Thursday and would like some criticism on my current thoughts:

Grey Seer
- Screaming Bell, Staff of Sorcery, Power Stone

Warlock Engineer
- Doomrocket, Level 2

Warlock Engineer
- Warp Energy Condenser, Dispel Scroll, Level 2

Plague Priest
- Level 2, Plague Furnace, 2 Dispel Scrolls, Plague Censer

21 Slaves

20 Slaves

20 Slaves

30 Clanrats (pushing Bell)
- Full Command, Spear, Shield, Ratling Gun

20 Clanrats
- Full Command, Spear, Shield

20 Plague Monks
- Full Command, Storm Banner

4 Jezzails

Doomwheel

Total - 2000 points
Power dice - 12
Dispel dice - 7 + 3 scrolls

For alternative models I've not really got that much so advice should mostly be related to the composition of the units (ideally). The spare models I do have are 3 more jezzails, 20 stormvermin and 2 rat ogres with 3 packmasters.

What do you think of the army? My opponent usually runs a ghoul bunker list with fell bat and corpse cart support along with a unit of wraiths. My plan would be to try and break through with the sheer weight of attacks from the plague monks and the furnace whilst using the fairly nasty ruin spells to soften the units up.

Thanks in advance.

the unit of 20 clanrats is not big enough, do you really need the 'locks lvl 2? Im sure they wont have trouble casting warplighting at lvl 1 and with the points you will be able to expand that clanrat unit. I think you might have some trouble against the vc, because you dont have enough killy power, just alot of magic and im sure he wont have too much trouble dispelling most of your spells. Playing against vc is a hard thing for a skaven army to do because they dont break. take some pcbs I think both the screaming bell and the plague furnace is a little unnecessary, I would even say stay away from magic against the vc, have a couple of casters simply to carry dispel scrolls and go combat with the rest, you wont have to worry about magic if you can kill the casters quickly and easily. The furnace is a great combat tool, the doomwheel will be good maneuverabilty, but I see no reason not to carry a hellpit abomination, its something that not alot of people have been taking from the lists ive seen so far and im really uncertain why because of all its potential. Also, stubborn pcbs... PSH.
