I have a new hypothesis as to how GW is going to errata this. There are two groups of army books, those that say stormbanner = one use and those that say stormbanner =/= one use. My hypothesis is that GW will make the errata for the group of books that has the fewest copies sold worldwide, therefore minimizing the obviousness of their lack of proofing their work. So whichever version of the book with the larger market will be the "correct" version. We do all know that GW is in it for the short term money, therefore the path of least resistance is probably the one they will take... whether that makes the rules balanced or not. Just my guess. |

That's an interesting stance, you might be right. --Cap |

Sorry, One use only in french too. Translaters also work on an "v2" version of the English rules, thus including correction "to be made" in the english army book. (this have been stated multiple time on french forums, and correction have always been made accordingly to this "rule" ) Expect "One use only". |

I hope this doesn't mean I need to fork out to get the v2 book. But I can't see GW offering to swap them over for free or anything... *goes off to grumble quietly to himself* In all serious though, I think it's interesting that the english book is the one with the typo. I would assume that the greatest chance for error would be in translating it from the primary language (which I am assuming is english) to a secondary language. I guess this sort of mess can happen when you're working to a deadline. Later! 'Sticks |

Actually, it is a widely known secret among GW employees that decisions are made based on corporate timeline and accounting/reporting factors. Things are sent to the printer based on the need to have them released during a specific quarter without consideration for whether or not proofing has been done. This is not the first time it's happened nor should we expect it to be that last... The consequence, of course, is as Timil said... Expect it to be one use. |
