i've heard about this too. not sure what to think of 8th ed, i hate to think of leaving other armies in the dust. on the other hand, that means it's time for daemons, DE and VC to finally get what they deserve...

1. That is never a good argument when it comes to GWShop, there's no point in releasing all armies in 7th edition and immediately come out with 8th edition, that makes no sense. They already have 8th edition in the making, some armies (most likely Stunties, Woodies & Brets) will have to wait for it before getting an update - skipping 7th edition entirely (in which they were fine until Daemons and VC (; ). 2. 7th Edition started in 2006, which is almost 4 years now and thats a good time as any to release a new edition: new starter set, everyone wants the new rules, etc - instant money maker. Why wait an extra year or two just to 'finish up' on an old system? 3. 6th ed lasted 6 years because as some said, LotR movies + miniatures entered the picture for Games Workshop. 7th edition IS messed up, the badly written rules and completely holes in the rules does not help it. 4. Dwarfs are apparently getting a Forgeworld (Fantasy Division) release, obviously not cavalry, you should at least think before sarcastically 'laughing'. There's been a lot of rumors and some prototypes of other cavalries (Daemonettes on Steeds of Slaanesh for Seekers, Boars for Orcs&Gobs) Its been hinted at months ago that summer release would have a big release of cavalry minis for most armies and just recently the rumor that it is also 8th edition time (June : big rulebook, September: starter set with mini book) |
